Everyone should read this book, Christian or not. It is easy and deep. It calls for introspection and surrender. I have read it 4 times and have shared it with numerous friends. They all live it too. Read the book and you will see.

I have read this book twice and probably gifted it to all my best friends and family! It is such a powerful read for understanding the Love of God and who we are. Particularly helpful for young adults and people returning to the faith. Or anyone wanting a refreshing outlook on faith and psychology deeply grounded in the beauty of both! It is a gem! This is the first of a trilogy, but by far this one is the best of all

Excellent descriptions and examples to surrendering love. Easy to follow and feel. Words are great representations of reality and process.

This book truly captures the essence of God’s call for our lives. It is because so many Christians do not understand the message of this book, that they are easily pull off track. The author has an amazing insight into the heart of the Gospel. Anyone who reads this book with an open heart cannot help but be deeply affected on their spiritual journey.

In recent weeks l have been challenged by the thought of weather I have surrendered all of me or just the parts that are easy to God. This book was suggested as starting point so I bought it. It has challenged me more than I wanted. I have marked many passages to go back and read again. I realize that I have a ways to go to become completely surrendered to God. If you want to grow it’s a good book to read.

I cannot recommend this book enough. Having grown up in a very works-righteousness home / church, this book was so freeing to me. It has really opened my eyes and changed my perspective on what God thinks of me. Instead of living with crippling fear and perfectionism, Benner has reminded me to rest freely in the love Christ has for me. I now often am reminded of the picture of floating in the river of God’s love rather than frantic treading. Thank you for such a beautiful book. I will be sharing this with many of those I do ministry with.

The love of God, shown by Him coming down to us through Christ Jesus, is The source of this author's love for people. I was touched by the few people who were willing to share their brokenness, and how the author patiently and lovingly encouraged them to reconsider faith in the Lord Jesus and His Father. I like the fact that he didn't write a self-improvement / self-help book, as we can't do it ourselves. We have to (re)surrender to Love.

If you want to grow spiritually this book might help you. It did the 10 men who read it and then spent an hour weekly discussing over ZOOM their ponderments and learning.

Hab alle 3 Teile gekauft und bin begeistert. In dem Buch geht es um die Liebe, um sich fallen lassen können und darum Liebe annehmen zu können. Es kommt ohne christliche Standardfloskeln aus, die sowieso nie weiterhelfen, sondern geht in die Tiefe unseres menschlichen Seins und analysiert unsere mit Liebe verbundenen Ängste und Hemmungen. Dadurch dass unterbewusste Gedankengänge bewusst gemacht werden, hat man die Chance falsche bzw veraltete Prägungen hinter sich zu lassen. Für mich als Nicht- Englisch- Muttersprachler ist das Buch durchaus lesbar. Es ist anfangs etwas herausfordernd, weil man sich an den Schreibstil des Autors erstmal gewöhnen muss, aber das Vokabular ist nicht zu schwierig, so dass man dauernd Google bemühen müsste.

Practical, challenging and profound - this book has helped me at a time in my life when surrender to love became the only option. It’s a book I suspect I will have nearby for reference for the rest of my life, I have already bought it for someone else.

Some thoughtful ideas and themes with a convoluted writing style. Some sections remain unclear after re-reading several times. I think the theme of surrender is a worthy topic. It seems to remain a bit abstract by the end.
