Essential Reiki Teaching Manual: A Companion Guide for Reiki Healers

Great teaching manual and includes class handouts.
My Reuki Master Teacher used this book and handouts to teach me and I use for my students. It has a lot of informative and the author goes into detail that I find helpful. I use this as teaching tool and use her “Essential Reiki” for each student as a resource.

Great Teaching Manual
I love this book as it piggy backs on the essential Reiki book. If you plan on teaching and need a place to start, this is helpful.

Great teaching manual! Great for new Reiki Masters!
I really like this book, actually I love it, it is a great teaching tool and I am blessed and grateful to Diane Stein for being ahead of her time and publishing the symbols and section for you to have handouts. The only thing that I would have done a little different, is outlined the book better instead of paragraphs. But that is just my corporate side talking and maybe I would have had it perforated in the hand out section. So i didn't have to bend the book, cause I like it! Having said that, I am positive the reason she did not was so that you don't loose it.Too bad you couldn't have an updated version that came with a CD / DVD, where you could store the PDF on your computer or had the images available to download with your purchase. Who knows I am sure if I dig someone has already downloaded them to the internet. I am thinking of investing in the DVD - it should be a box set.

I was hoping for more
It's a decent book and does impart knowledge. That said she is really coming off as very against men in general. I read her first book so I knew she could lean heavily in that direction. That irritated me a bit because she received teaching from a couple of men. This gives solid advice on a how to teach though. It could have been a bit better.

Great Information, but I Could Do Without the Man-hating Prose
Diane Stein has written some great books on Reiki and burst the bubble of secrecy that surrounded this ancient form of healing, so the information in her books is invaluable. Unfortunately, she makes it very obvious that she hates men and she LOVES to talk about her own experiences to the point of patting herself on the back.I DO recommend the book for all the important information it has in it and she has published the Reiki symbols, which not many people do. You just may have to skim all the personal crap to get to the good stuff.

Reiki Info Yes, Gender Info Not so Much...
As a new RMT, I certainly do appreciate different methods and points of view on teaching and absolutely on how to rev up for Reiki from multiple angles. Very detail oriented and I like that - a lot.Several folks have pointed out the author's gender bias. Suffice it to say that I didn't appreciate it either, and chose to ignore it rather than let it blow my purchase of another Stein book. She is a valuable asset in my collection of resources.

Not what I expected.
Im well aware of the wonderful impact Diane stein has had on the teaching of Reiki and I dislike being critical in my reviews but I have to say I was a little disappointed with 'Essential Reiki'. It just seemed to lack any soul, sacredness or insight and it also lacks structure in how to teach which is the reason I bought it. I found the format of the book uncomfortable and I was expecting a teaching style and flare to come through but it just seemed to lack, nor did it go deeper into the nuances and contradictions that can be found in the Reiki world. An understanding of Reiki and its origins has evolved considerably since Diane Stein wrote her first popular book essential reiki, and I expected to see this reflected in this more recent book however it seems that the

Reiki Initiation
I qualified as a Reiki Master in 1996 but felt I did not have enough understanding of this Natural Healing Art.Diane Stein made this object easy, so I wish to thank her for her Wisdom and Kindness. One does need to make sure that your teacher has a direct lineage which comes down the line from the creator of reiki Dr. Miko Usui as attunements cannot be achieve just from reading the book. One needs a Reiki Master to undertake all Reiki empowerments. Namaste :-)

Dont be fooled
This book is fine if you are new to Reiki, but don't believe all you read. Diane Stein is merely stating her own interpretation of Reiki.I have been teaching Reiki for over 15 years and found nothing new in his book.Don't buy it if you already have her other book, Essential Reiki as it is more or lest the same with a few extra pages.
