Not that impressive.
I bought these for my daughter to wear at the indoor shooting range. I have used them a couple of times now before I let her try them. I have to say Iโm glad I havenโt had her wear these at the range yet - they do not seem to muffle gunshots much. I have nearly jumped when certain guns are fired when wearing these. They do ok when I am shooting but not so much when people around me are shooting. They do however, do a really good job at amplifying voices around me. I will look for something else for better ear protection.

Worked for less than a year, but great customer service!!
Update - I am changing my 1* to 5* because these earmuffs really worked well until they stopped working. The company has sense seen my review and reached out to me and sending me a new pair. Great customer service, with a very prompt replies!I LOVED these things, then I went to use them today and they didnโt work anymore. Changed the batteries, nothing. I know theyโre not expensive but man I figured they would last longer than 4-5 uses. STAY AWAY!!

Best bargain shooter ear muffs
These ear muffs are the best I have ever used for noise reduction in multiple situations where loud noise needs to be reduced. Excellent and at a very good price.

Good... for the price.
I use ear plugs in addition to these when I go to my local indoor range. The Mic function allows me to hear conversations clearly, there's some static but not much. Or, if I use the aux cord, listen to music. The music quality is not the best, but for the price of the muffs its good. If you plan to listen to music often with them, I would suggest buying a longer aux cord as the one that comes with this is painfully short. The batteries do not seem to last nearly as long as the packaging says they're supposed to. I've tried several brands of quality AAA batteries and they all seem to last the same. I get about 2 or 3 trips using the mic the whole time. I had originally bought 2, then I returned a pair thinking it was something wrong with the unit, but no. All 3 pairs of them I've gotten are that way. Bring extra batteries with you.All in all, these muffs are good for the price, but not something to go tell the boys at the range about.

PROTECT HEARING AND HEAR! AMAZING!
I had one of the best ear protectors made, but they were so good I could not hear when the range master gave instructions or the person next to me was talking! I had to be looking at the person and basically read lips. These electronic sound amplification ear muffs are the answer to my problem. I will be honest and say they do not cut out the noise as well as my others, but they do a good job of protecting my hearing. I feel protected and I can hear everything that is going on around me! Some instructors do not recommend the electronic sound amplification ear protectors; they think they do not work. These DO work! They have solved what was a disturbing problem for me. And the colors add a feminine touch, too. :)

Static when turned on and the noise cancellation feature doesn't work
I have a special needs son who periodically screeches at the top of his lungs which in turn gave my PTSD. I loved the idea of this headset!! To be able to choose the level of volume I hear, plug into my phone/tablet or Xbox controller to listen to music/shows or games and to have his screeches trigger the noise cancellation feature was perfect, If it worked. It didn't. When not turning the set on it does muffle sound but not near enough for screams. When turning the set on there's a near constant static sound that you can almost control by holding your head at bizarre angles (bad wiring) and then the noise canceling feature never seemed to trigger. I even used a device to see how loud my son was during an episode and it definitely is more than the 80 something decibels that's suppose to activate noise cancellation... plus add to the fact that you have to have the volume amplifier turned on to use that magical function, the screams are now amplified.Great product idea but either the poor construction or flat out false claim of a noise cancelling feature makes this buy bitterly disappointing.

It does the job... at a good price point
I've had these Awesafe electronic ear protection earmuffs for well over eight months now. I've used them on every outing to the gun range for use with a rimfire rifle (.22LR - about 2 times a month), and used it a couple of times with a centerfire rifle (.308WIN).It does the job... at a good price point. I bought the black version that came with the case, which fits well in my range bag with extra batteries (came with a battery case included for extra batteries) and other bits and pieces for the ear protection. Nice case.Fit, build and finish are all the same as a Howard Leight, just a bit thicker than the latter. No issues with the ear protection with the cheek rest of my rifle buttstock, or any other rifle buttstock I've tried it with.Noise cancellation is on par with the Howard Leight and the Walker's Razor (good but not as good as 3M Peltor, but then these cost much more), as is the noise volume level when listening directly to voices or other sounds with the noise cancellation. You do have to listen in the direction of the sound for these to work well, so no 360 degree listening. It has a clicking sound on the on-off knob that is also the volume control, which the Howard Leight does not have as a feature. You know for sure that you turned it off when you hear the clicking sound. The aftermarket comfort gel ear pieces for Howard Leight should fit Awesafe electronic ear protection, should you wish added comfort. The standard factory ones are fine and comfortable. So far, so good...I recommend it as a really good budget electronic ear protection alternative to both Howard Leight and the Walker's Razor. Plus, it comes with a carry case and an extra battery case.I do wish they were thinner and a bit lighter, and I wish that the noise cancellation was better (like the 3M Peltor). I also wish that they had cool add-ons like the Walker's Razor (i.e. two-way radio clip-on). In any case... they are good value for money. A good solid four out of five stars.I'll up date this review as time goes by with use.

Good quality, great price.
AWESAFE Ear defenders look smart, easy to use, they come with a storage case and a set of batteries (plus a battery storage case) and a mini jack connector lead for compatible mp3, radio or phone connection. I personally find them to be comfortable while wearing spectacles. The down side is the ear defender battery cover is reluctant to come off and it is difficult to open battery storage case and the 2 AAA batteries are difficult to remove from the ear defenders. Iโve fed a strip of ribbon under the batteries to aid removal of the batteries. They work well reducing loud noise and can pick up conversation easily and can be easily adjusted to suit personal preference.
