I was so happy to get this before Christmas!I had one growing up and decided to get another one for my snowman decor next to the Christmas tree. Also for my own nostalgia! It's beautiful!

As lovely as it was that Christmas long ago...
This sled brought back many gleeful childhood memories. The larger one is even more amazing. Long, lean, and very steerable (hence the name) this sled needs two things to be called perfect. One is a piece of rope to be used as a rein when on top or to haul it up the hill. To those who whine it was not included, grow up.The other thing is to use the sled until the paint has been stripped off the runners. I remember how much faster my sled went when the blade surfaces were nothing but shining steel. To those who extol plastic flat sleds, I would say that the surface area in contact with the snow slows one down. Once you establish a track, the Flexible Flyer is the fastest show in town. It will cut into deep snow until there is a track, but then you can fly.Perhaps one could wax the runners until the paint is shed? This is the closest thing to Olympic luge once you have a good track. You should probably grab a helmet!
