Excellent Vegetarian Cookbook by Nobu Matsuhisa
This cookbook from one of the best Sushi and Master Chef, Nobu Matsuhisa, is a culinary god at his own right and expertise. I mean using his knowledge, a culinary genius with Japanese influence in fine dining- is well sought after for many diners. Sometimes for its simplicity, but the techniques used and marrying all of these flavors are so exquisite. I have tried the Japanese Ceviche, Vegetarian sushi, and the burdock sushi but did a cucumber and a quick pickled daikon as the wrapper.So far I can only make a few of his recipes, as I am just progressing into my culinary world. And many of my customers liked it, of course, there are oohh and ahhh!.I would highly recommend getting every Nobu's cookbook to cook for the crowd whether it is family, friends or if you want more inspiration on modern Japanese cooking. But the vegetarian sushi recipes are really top notch. Next time, I will try his mushrooms recipes.

Fantastic cookbook
I don't tend to actually follow cookbook recipes. I like cookbooks that are inspirational, filled with ideas new to me and interesting flavor combinations. The first impression of this one is that it's beautiful. Then I wanted to make every single thing in it. I've made three things since it arrived and have loads of other things marked. The dried miso idea alone was worth it to me. At work we were eating flakes of it plain, it was that tasty. If you like Japanese flavors, give this cookbook a try.

It’s too complicated for everyday dinner...
I’m looking for a book with easy recipes, but this is not it. The dishes look pretty but too hard to make for every day and regular family dinner parties. I ended up returning it.

Good for reading and looking at but ...
This is a visually stunning and inspirational cookbook, but don't expect to learn how to make these beautiful dishes from this book. It is assumed that you know the technique to produce the dishes, so really all you get is an ingredient list and a pretty picture. The beautiful cover? The text on how to make all of those pieces of vegetable nigiri is covered in exactly 1/3 of one page! However, the last chapter in the book contains recipes for all of the sauces used earlier on. In my opinion, the cost of the book is worth it for this treasure trove of Nobu's sauces. They can be used in a variety of dishes, not just the ones listed in this cookbook. Knowing what I know now, I would still purchase this book.

Phenomenal Flavors
The flavors are awesome due to the sauces. Yes, these recipes can be complex if you are not familiar with the ingredients or techniques, but it is not as difficult as it first appears. It is not intended for a quick meal, so plan accordingly. Buy good, fresh ingredients and take your time.

Unable to get many ingredients . Very nice book with many pictures, but not for me.

You might need to practice a couple to get it right
Nobu is awesome. This is geared for vegetarians and is beautiful. I would get the hard copy. It’s useful and looks great in anyone’s kitchen.

Coffee Table Buch für Nobu-Fans
Schön gemachtes Kochbuch der Nobu Nobel-Restaurantkette. Ist aber eher nichts für "Koch-Amateure". Nettes "coffee table" Buch, das speziell Nobu-Fans ansprechen dürfte.

Estupendo libro de recetas, que cómo primer contacto con la comida "vegetariana" (no pienso secundarla) ofrece otras alternativas a la cocina que hago habitualmente.
