Yes they are ok in an emergency situation, the leak would need to be on a straight part of the pipe , not on a bend or a connection.

Bought as a supplement to my repairs box just in case. Seems a good fit and rubber bungs come off well to adjust to different pipe thicknesses. Probably wouldn’t leave on too long but as a quick stop till water can be drained seems capable. Hope this helps

did not work had a leak put it on the pipe the pipe still leak if you ever get a water leak just call a plumper it will save you money better

Seems to be good . I just need it for a standby i dont have a leak now.

If like me you needed an urgent fix in a very tight space,this is the one for you. I had very little room,with three pipes very close together,but managed to fit and stop leak. Left for a week, to make sure,still ok two or more weeks later. Would highly recommend
