Great 12 X12 foot easy up Canopy for picnics etc (you might need to buy leg weights or tent stakes)
Purchased this from Wayfair with free shipping. Ordered Saturday night arrived on Tuesday from Manufacturer's warehouse in Southern California.I work in Manufacturing and do mechanical design. The frame weighs 40 pounds and fairly strong. I disagree with the other reviewers...if it broke they did something wrong. Or they put it up in strong winds without anchoring it.Because of the size of this canopy it is a two person job to raise it. One person can do it if they take their time and reasonable care. The canopy has to be anchored in strong winds. There is hole at the bottom of each leg for a spike. You can purchase a set of 4 tent stakes or spikes from Wally World for around $2. The canopy anchor kit was missing from my unit and Wayfair had it replaced. If you cannot stake/spike the legs, You will need to buy leg weights (one for each leg)...or if you have a heavy duty sewing machine you could make your own from old jean legs or denim and sand.None of the Canopies in this price range and size will hold up in windy conditions without proper anchoring. Even with anchoring in extreme high winds most easy up canopies will not survive. With that said, the size of steel tubing used is definitely at its limits at 12 feet by 12 feet, but for use as shade for a picnic, camping or in our case for use as a "team camp" gathering place at cross country meets the price is a "steal". My only complaint is that the Velcro sewn in the corners of the canopy are not placed well to large of sewing placement tolerance. On our canopy one corner there is only 1/4" that is in contact to the Velcro on the frame. The roller bag is on the weak side and you will have to buy a replacement is a couple of years depending on how you handle it. Ours had a badly sewn seam that opened up the first time we used it. Wayfair had it the roller bag replaced.I cannot say enough good about Wayfair. Originally purchased a canopy from local store and it had the wrong size canopy and the manufacturer's warranty department sent the wrong canopy again! Took that one back and purchased it from Wayfair through Amazon. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of Caravan's Warranty Department and not Wayfair. If you want a sturdier 12 foot by 12 foot canopy you can purchase an aluminum professional series for $2500 to $3000 dollars...so, in the $115 price range this a great bargain. If you are going to use this in windy conditions and cannot stake the legs, you will have to buy some leg weights. There are tabs on the canopy corners to tie cords and stake additionally to keep canopy from flying off in windy conditions. At farmers markets I have seen some people use 15 gallon buckets filled with dirt when they cannot stake the canopy corners, I have seen some people tie the canopy cords to the bottom of the legs under the leg weights to keep canopy from blowing off...and that is with all types of brands not just this brand.

Great for a little extra space, holds up well to wind & rain with some modification and accommodation
We purchased this for a 4-day festival. We wanted a little more room than a 10x10 provides, and this 12x12 setup gives just that. The support structure inside the tent is also very open, with only a mid-line support down the center of each side, leaving a big 6x6 area that has no cross-beams or supports in the way. This was needed for our use because we have a tall display under the tent and it would hit a more-dense support system. The canopy top is tight, but not tight enough to handle rain on it's own. To help with this, we zipper-tied a 36" aluminum pole, with a flat-bottomed water bottle on the end, to the center support. The bottle presses up on the inside of the peak, raising the peak higher and it tightens up the canopy enough to shed the rain without making big puddles above. We've used this strategy during several serious rains and it's holding up nicely in that respect. The canopy and frame also hold up very well to wind, when properly anchored. The anchoring we use is a cinder-block (which the tent leg rests on) and a 3" diameter by 36" length PVC pipe filled with concrete. One of these is attached to each corner with ratcheting straps ( similar to http://amzn.com/B000CMF31M ) and floated 1 inch off the ground. Bungee cords are wrapped around the pole and PVC tube to keep it from swinging. It's handled two VERY windy days (40-60mph gusts?) quite well. I was nervous enough to "hold it down" at first, but after assessing the setup, I trusted it enough to leave it be. No bends, breaks or damaged arms or legs. This frame is strong enough to handle the wind and the resistance provided by the tie-downs.It comes with a very nice square bag with well placed handles for carrying and wheels for rolling on pavement/sidewalks. It's very easy to setup and take down, and fits in the case with little fuss. You can get sidewalls for this, or get two pieces of 12x12 white tarp ( http://amzn.com/B0096M0A7Q ) and cut them in half to cover the four sides. Couple this with bungee balls ( http://amzn.com/B001C47OCA ) and four locks ( http://amzn.com/B0002M8QP2 ) for a fully enclosed, "secure" setup.4 stars for the "out of the box" product. Don't use it in the rain without a modification to prevent puddling. Don't use it in the wind without serious ballast.

Caravan Global Sports M Series Instant Canopy 12 by 12
the tent arrived w a problem ...we didnt notice the first day we set it up ....but there was some kind of weakness in the structure and the second time we set it up to actually use it ...two of the crossbars broke ....it looked to us like they were already bent ....so perhaps it was the shipping ....and it is fair to say that the company after some wrangling finally sent two replacement bars at no charge ... this is not strongest tent in the world but lovely .... to look at from a distance ... poor marks for structural design

Do not buy if you are going to use in rain
We purchased two of these canopies to use in Alaska for shade and rain protection. Our trip lasted 12 days; the canopies lasted 11 days. On the last night, in a moderate rainfall, the canopies completely collapsed. Lot's of internal cross-bars bent and one of the legs snapped. I highly discourage anyone buy these if they plan to use in windy or rainy areas. Until the collapse, the units were easy to get up and take down, so in a sunny environment they may be ok.

Lasted less than a week.
It took longer to put it up than it lasted on my deck. The top is water proof. The frame does NOT hold the canvas tight.Just a small rain, sprinkle and it folded up.I have been putting canopies on my deck for years.THis one broke the record. Usually the top will wear out from the sun, fade and get some pin holes. I have never had one fall apart so fast.

AVOID this product as it's cheaply made!
Second time using it one of the beams broke at the joint. When looking at the broken metal, it's less than a 1mm thick which to me is an all around bad product!
