This is a profoundly potent smoky smelling essential oil. Good quality, exactly what I was looking for. Birch tar was far too smoky and even at incredibly low dilutions, it smelled like cigarette butts, so the cade is a much better choice for adding a smoke scent to an EO blend.

this is a lovely oil, it's not thick and dark, which means it is produced the correct way, and contains no carcinogens. It is thin, but not watery of course, and has a dark tint but it is not black like some other Cade oils I have received from different suppliers. I just received my bottle and I am very very pleased with this product. However, maybe it is just me but it smells just the slightest bit like hickory smoked bacon. It definitely has a smoky scent, much like woodfire, and I tried mixing cedar oil with it, it smelled perfect. No bacon scent at all, EXACTLY like a woodfire. Certainly one of the better oils I have bought.
