Best to transport breast milk
Best if you are thinking of shipping or traveling with the Breast milk. We drove for 16 hours and the milk was still solid frozen.

Works as a Bread Proofing Box or a "Grow" Box
I bought this to proof bread dough. It has a flat bottom for a 12-inch heating pad. Place a metal stand on the pad, and punch a hole in the side of the box with a toggle bolt to hang the temperature controller. I proof dough about once a week, and the foam lasts one to two years before getting grungy. Can also work as a seed grow box or yeast box for home brewers.

Thick, strong styrofoam
My diabetic sister-in-law died recently, leaving behind in her fridge a large unopened styrofoam cooler of insulin, along with some individual packets and some other supplies. This Polar-Tech was the only package I could find large enough for everything. I packed it with several freeze packs and shipped it two-day air to Insulin for Life USA, Inc. in Gainesville, FL, a company that accepts insulin and supply donations. The price was a bit steep for a cardboard box and a foam cooler, but worth it for the good of the cause.

Polar Tech Packaging Effective for Shipping Frozen Foods.
I purchased 2 sizes: large snd medium. The strofoam containers were formed into one uninterrupted, seamless container, so no leaking of any liquids would occur as long as the box was not damaged. The styrofoam box lid fit snuggly on the styrofoam container. The cardboard box was a good fit for the styrofoam container. One must ship the styrofoam box in the cardboard box (or another box), so do NOT destroy the cardboard box the styrofoam container arrives in. I took the precaution of lining both the styrofoam container AND the cardboard shipping box with 33-gallon sized plastic bags, just in case the ice packs melted. The ice packs I purchased <called "(N)ICE Packs"> were sheets of 12 cells that contained a water absorbing chemical in each cell to place in a sink filled with water. Then, the waterladen sheets are frozen. The ice sheets were rated for 72 hours before no longer being effective. I sent frozen smoked BBQ ribs from the West coast to the East coast (USA). There was a delay (USPS) so the overnight guaranteed delivery did not happen. Instead of arriving in 24 hours, the package arrived 36 hours later. EVERYTHING WAS STILL FROZEN: EVEN THE ICE PACKS! YAY! Package arrived in tact and kept items frozen. Once in a lifetime need for such shipping (I hope), so I didn't mind the expense of the packaging, as it was pricey. Additionally, my friends told me they can reuse the styrofoam box, so that makes me feel better about the price! Yes, still cheaper than FEDEX or UPS. Also, USPS refunded the entire shipping cost as they missed their 24-hour delivery deadline! NICE! TY J & USPS!

Great cooler, bad shipping from Amazon
I loathe reviews that do not actually review the product and then just complain about shipping. But that's why I am here, so first off, I have used PolarTech coolers for 15 years shipping food products and never had a problem. They are quite sturdy and durable that it's not uncommon to get a reused one in the food industry. If you need to ship something cold, buy these. However, here's my beef. I have ordered 8 of these from Amazon. 3 came in outer boxes - great! The other 5 came as is, covered in stickers, labels and Amazon tape. That doesn't exactly look professional so I had to spend time goo gone-ing all that nonsense off. Ship in boxes Amazon, please.

Great shipping cooler
This cooler is huge. I used this to ship about 46lbs of frozen breastmilk. Stayed completely frozen for shipping - at least 20 hours without any additional dry ice.
