We bought this toy for our German Shepherd, a 90 lb male who is obsessed with "fetch". In between games of fetch, our dog chews on this almost constantly; he takes it to bed with him, and none of the other dogs can have it. We have gone through dozens of ropes (his preferred texture) with him, and this one has lasted forever. We replaced it earlier this year because somehow, my husband threw it up onto the roof. In our experience, this is the Holy Grail of dog toys for big, aggressive chewers. Leo gives it a paws-up.

My pup was super happy with this item. I however was not as happy. She chewed the rope off with in a matter of days. Now we use the center part as a “Kong”. Works well for that but not a toy for a super chewer.

This toy was very sturdy. Our lab is a very aggressive chewer. Even the best of toys only last 1-2 days. This toy made it for about a week. It ranks pretty high on the durability chart. However, it is not indestructible.

My son and 65 pound pit bull dog like to play with this toy. The problem is that the knots in the rope aren't staying tied. They pull out to the end of the rope with tug of war play. One end completely came untied, so my son tied it back up again. The other end is very tight now from pulling but he cannot untie it to move the tie up from the end where it will come untied again. They've used the toy daily for five days. It has only been used for tug of war play because otherwise our dog eats right through string toys. Princess does not like to grab on to the black plastic for play.but it seems durable. Won't buy again. Will just buy the heavy duty rope toy that we've found works well for her.

My dog loved this toy, unfortunately, he has the ability to destroy rope toys with ease. He was quickly able to chew off one of the rope knots. We did have to throw away the rope but we kept the middle piece because he enjoys playing with it. The dog toy is definitely of a quality toy and I'm glad I bought it despite its quick demise. Even without the rope it still provides some entertainment.

I have an 80 lb. bully that made an absolute mess of this toy. It did not last him long! Truthfully, he had started shredding the rope within a day of having it! The plastic didn't last long after that either.

Wow! Lasted almost 2 hours. Seller's comment about "almost indestructible" made me think it might last more than a day. So, here goes. My dog unwrapped his chew toy at 8am, and I took it away at 10am. I didn't want him digesting the small pieces of rubber that came off the "almost indestructible" toy. This one is dangerous. The braided string, if digested will cause damage to my dog. So again, durability is very poor, value is poor based upon the cost, and construction is poor. Definitely not a recommended buy. Stay away from this one unless you want to be following your pooch around to make sure you are filling doggy bags!
