Q: Does this come with batteries?

Yes it comes with a set of AAA batteries though they don't last long. :( I suggest to always have another set of AAA batteries for when this little guy runs out. On a side note when your tamagotchi 4u does indeed run out of battery when you replace them it'll give you two options in Japanese. First one is reload the second option is to literally restart, just thought I should add that being that I had to learn the hard way.
