well made and unique
Great watch for $50, has a very vintage feel, things you should know- watch is hand wind not automatic so every day you need to wind it until you feel it get tight then stop, do not overwind! case is plated metal like many vintage watches, acrylic crystal like many vintage watches, low beat movement 19,800 bph aka 5 ticks per second like many vintage watches. The crown is strange, has a very loose feel but is actually a clutch mechanism to reduce stress on stem when winding or if you were to drop it. Once you pull the crown taught it feels more normal. Build quality is great 👍🏼 dial is a beautiful blue that starts lighter in tone at the top and gets gradually darker like the ocean, has Russian submarine on dial along with the Vostok logo. Bezel rotates both ways and no clicks. (Not a dive watch) stock strap is kind of stiff, I put a gray NATO strap on it. Lug width is 18mm but I crammed a 19mm on it. 17 jewel mechanical hand wind movement. Great watch! Seller sent really good Russian chocolate 🍫 with watch!

Good solid Russian watch
This brand was popular for its high quality back in 80's and 90's as I remember when I lived in Soviet Union. Here we are 2021 and it still is awesome. Bought this watch as a gift for someone and have been testing it for over a week or so. Winding it up and checking on its accuracy. So far, so good. If I stay consistent like instructions say, and wind the watch up every 24 hours, then it keeps working and is accurate. The metal border with numbers does spin unlike many cheap brands these days. The back of the watch looks awesomely Russian too. I like this watch so much, that now I'm thinking to buy it for myself too.

Good vintage Soviet look watch
I love the watch because is a gift from my teenage daughter, and for that alone it is a relic for me. It has a nice vintage Soviet look, works very well and has its charm. But the watch looks a bit small for my wrist and very youthful for me. Also, the strap is not really of good quality (it will have to be changed). I believe that for the price and for its quality, it is an excellent gift for a kid as the first automatic watch, so they can learn to appreciate the automatic-manual functioning of a watch.

Cool looking thing
The watch is pretty cool looking. But the plastic "crystal" and the pain in the a$$ crown/setting time/winding are the reasons why I can't give it 5 stars. Forget setting the date. You'll throw it across the room. I got no Russian chocolate with my watch.

Love this little thing
Bought this because I wanted a casual beater that would be more interesting than what you find at your local supermarket, and so far I love it. It's a great conversation piece and just makes me smile to look at. My one complaint is that the crystal is domed and scratches VERY easily. The flipside of this is that it is supposed to be a Soviet military watch, so it really just adds to the charm. Also it runs about 20 seconds fast a day but it's a $50 mechanical watch from Russia so what can you really expect. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a cheap and fun watch.

Good for watch collection
For $60 it's actually a pretty cool watch the band completely sucks though. I mean definitely not a deal-breaker or anything like that but definitely cheap. Takes a few moments to learn how to wind The Watch, but once you figure it out it's pretty easy the only big complaint I have is that it doesn't have a quick set for the date. so if you leave the watch for a week or more it's going to take awhile to correctly set the date since you have to constantly keep turning the hands forward until the date switches. but once again it's a really cool Conversation Piece and it was only 60 bucks.

Stopped Working After 6 months
It is a good watch for the price, but it stopped working after roughly 6 months. I kept it in my drawer for the remainder of the year after I bought it thinking maybe it's a fluke, but nope, it is broken. I wind it and the second hand does not want to spin.

Love this watch!
Great watch for a great price. Great looking, reliable, packed with history, unlike any other in my collection (except the Vostok Amphibia). I realy enjoy wearing it. my only minor downside is the band width which is 18mm, i think that20 mm was more appropriate for a 40 mm watch.

The automatic winding didn't work. I tried everything that the seller suggested but to no avail. They were very helpful and I had no problem recovering my money. I want another. I'll buy another, just as soon as Russia leaves the Ukraine and restores what they destroyed.

Everyone who reads reviews on Vostok watches gets and idea of what to expect. Having the watch for a little while now, I can agree with the reviews I've seen. This is a small, attractive mechanical, hand-wound watch. I got the blue dial with anchor and submarine drawings, and red star at the 12 O'Clock. It's attractive, though one wouldn't say it looks overly expensive. The bi-directional bezel moves easily and has no clicks. I wouldn't rely on the bezel for anything other than timing a coffee break or something. The domed acrylic glass is very pretty. I'm sure it will scratch, but that's either something that adds to the charm or can be polished out. The case is a blunt instrument. Very basic, fairly harsh angles, but it works and is a good size. I like the crest on the back, and the Cyrillic writing. The crown has the interesting "wobble" that everyone talks about. It's a screw down crown, and very satisfying to wind, which is probably a good thing as you'll have to do it every day. I avoided ordering one with a leather or metal bracelet as everyone says they're garbage. So, I got it with a black NATO strap. It's a NATO strap, so it's perfect: comfortable and good looking. I also like that the clasp sits to the side, not bottom of my wrist. So, when typing, there's no irritation. Accuracy is hard to judge. I was just going to say it isn't perfect, as mine seemed to be losing about 15 seconds a day. But checking against the atomic clock just now, it seems to have only gained 2 seconds in the past 24 hours. I still plan to mess with the regulator. To sum up: this is a fun little watch. I think if you can get free shipping and wait the 2 months for it to come, it's a great way to get into inexpensive watches. I especially wanted to know how I felt about a watch that required hand-winding before spending a ton of money on one. So far I like it. I also think it will become a good beater watch. It was made for the Soviet military originally, so it should be able to handle some abuse. I recommend this for a fun, inexpensive watch.

Qué decir de esta impresionante marca... Nada malo, la precisión del reloj es muy buena se adelanta menos de 3 minutos por semana y eso es impresionante para un reloj manual, muy contento con este increíble reloj.

I doubt you if you can buy a better quality automatic watch at this price - i have bought two. This is as good as watches i own costing several times the money. A nice looking watch, the only downside is the poor strap which i immediately replaced with a nice calfskin strap.
