Good seed
The package states that there are 25 seeds, but they were more generous than that. I planted one in each hole.(Very interesting looking seeds.) They are coming up nicely. These were planted about 3 weeks ago. I keep them damp, feeding from the bottom and try in put them in sunlight as it comes through the windows. As long as you are patient, I believe you will be very happy with these seeds.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY- A JOKE
These seeds are a joke. They took a while to come and came from China. I've planted over 13 catalpa trees at our old estate. What he sent were actual black seeds. Catalpa seeds are more like a soft, small, oblong feather. It wasn't worth shipping back to China, so we planted to see what we would end up with. You know what? NOTHING!

Majestic tree
I have not ordered from this vendor. This is about the Catalpa tree. I live in zone 5. I grew up watching my mothers Catalpa tree bloom. I would dream about making wings with the leaves so I could fly because the leaves are so big. The blooms are beautiful and fragrant! The blooms are fluted and have orange lines on the inside. It blooms later in the year, around late summer. The branches aren't strong so I wouldn't recommend tying a swing to a branch. They grow horizontally more than vertically. Great shade for planting lilies or hyacinths under. A very large majestic tree that lives a long time. Ours was planted when the house was built in 1897. Definitely a tree to enjoy many years. The lower branches do hang low, so expect to bend down a lot when you mow under it! Trimming branches will create many more branches, so it's best to cut branches at the trunk. We had to cut some because of power lines, and it looked like masses of saplings growing from the cut ends. You need this tree! Ours is on the south side of the house. Never bothered by pests or disease. A large colony of lady bug beetles lives around the west side of the trunk, but they have never harmed the tree. Buy these seeds if you trust the vendor!
