The pills came as described and the count was 90 per bottle as labeled. The bottle is colored blue which is appropriate, but the bottle did not contain a small dehumidifier packet nor cotton....so you may want to add one to prevent moisture from degrading the pills. The label has four tiny icons on it which are likely irrelevant. It does not have the UPS Verification mark on the bottle, but that is rather hard to find sometimes. It does indicate that it is non-GMO, for those who think it relevant and it notes that it is carefully manufactured in NY state. The price seems to be fair for this compound. The expiry date is over one year from now.I like this product, since as far as I can tell, it does contain this compound. It does not seem to turn one's urine yellow as do some other B-Vitamin formulas, and even better, it is easy to swallow, & does not cause me to have supplement flavored burps. While I initially bought it as a different theoretically "delayed-release" form of Thiamine, which I have had past deficiencies of, I found that at least with me, it often seems to reduce my perceived abdominal pain from a GI condition. Whether it is a placebo effect or not, it is difficult to tell. Of course, you can review some of the technical studies that range from those on rodent pain models {positive results} to those on real humans with Diabetic Neuropathy {mainly no significant effect}.Of course, all kinds of claims can be made about this or any supplement, and as far as I can tell, there are really few studies on this substance. While I have had Thiamine levels measured in the past a few times to see how a formula is working, I have yet to get a clinical level with this particular formula. While I do use, ConsumerLab.com as a good reference, they generally do not go into something as technical as this.Since ordinary pills of Thiamine and Thiamine have a relatively short half-life in the body, one can be depleted in only a week or two. Thiamine is vital to all kinds of brain function as well as metabolism but only so much can be absorbed at one sitting, and larger doses go to waste. This formula with 300mg of Benfotiamine seems to at least put my mind at ease that I have a more constant level of Thiamine. Several years ago, I had a real scare with having a low level and developed numbness in the first three fingers of each hand...and then took either a higher dose of Thiamine by itself or in a B-Complex formula.Even if you do not experience any other benefits of this formulation, at least the hypothetical longer level of the breakdown product, which is ordinary Thiamine, could be reassuring. As with all supplements, you need to review these ideas with your PCP, and none of the above is to be taken as medical advice.

positive update
Update: I've been taking 2 pills a day for about 2 weeks and I have less intermittent foot pain. A friend was using it for something else, I think that has something to do with nerve conduction and it's helped him. So we still have symptoms but they might resolve in time.I'm not giving it 5 stars because my blood sugar is actually higher even though I have a better diet now, plus it's not a magic pill like some reviews make it sound. It is absolutely worth taking if you have nerve damage or the chance for it, like with diabetes.Initial review: I was so hyped about taking this Benfotiamine 300 mg supplement. I'd read great things, stocked up, and was telling others about it, which usually I don't do, generally, I use myself as a guinea pig and if I get results then I share info about a product. My friend and I have been using it to help with diabetes associated problems.Well it's been over 3 weeks and neither of us have seen results. Granted I've got a ton more pills so I'm going to keep at. I have seen that I can take 2 pills a day so I'll try that to see if it helps. If I see any results I'll update but so far nothing for either of us.
