Decent value for the money
I am a hobbyist who works on my own GUITARS, it’s a fight for what I needed to do and I didn’t have to spend $100 for a real nice Fret file kit however if a person was a professional luthier you may want to spend the extra money but it worked for what I needed to do.

Does about 80% of the job, but not worth it for the cheaper quality.
I’m pretty new to the world of guitar-modding and fretwork and I mistakenly thought this tool would do all the hard parts of recrowning frets for me perfectly and easily. Wrong...yes it does crown the frets over to a certain point, but nowhere near what I would consider perfectly crowned...maybe like 80% of the way. I have since reverted to a traditional 3-corner file and after many novice attempts I am finally at the point where I can crown frets nearly perfectly and much better than what this file can do. My advice is if you really want this style of file, spend the extra $$ and get a StewMac one or one of the diamond-bur files because for this type of work that is so critically important for the performance of your instrument, these $20-ish files simply aren’t worth the money. Don’t cheat yourself!

Yup, does nothing
I agree with a previous reviewer. The file does nothing. It is barely abrasive enough to scuff paper. The cutting slots just glide over the top of the frets. The sizes are fine but it is just not abrasive

Low quality item.
Great seller with fast shipping, well packaged.This fret file sounds like it should be a good thing, but it is not. The three files are not in any way precise, and it is difficult to put a good crown on your frets due to the profile of the filing surface.So, good concept, but it does not work out well in practice.

Hard to use
It works ok but you have to put a lot of effort into it. I could do an entire board in an hour but my hands would be hurting. Needs a better handle. Not sure how a high end file would compare to this. If you build one guitar, this is the file for you. Any more than that, invest in a better tool
