I ordered this to keep my landlord from entering my house during Coronavirus because the police wouldn't and there were no courts. This was the most expensive of my choices and it looked heavy duty but there was a wait, so after reading the reviews I ordered Addalock as well. That came right away and was easy to install. I received this and decided to use for extra protection and it does not fit. I am trying to use on a door to the outside. (basement door which is same as a front door or back door). The door has space under because I get water and bugs but there is no spaces big enough on house entrance doors for this to fit under.

I purchased the DoorJammer - XL heavy weight Lockdown Edition. I travel all the time and safety has always been a serious concern of mine as I stay at various hotels and rental properties. This purchase has been a game changer. It is extremely EASY to install and uninstall the DoorJammer. Once it is PROPERLY installed, the door cannot be opened from the outside. It even comes with its own bag for easy travel. Buy immediately!

The device seems sturdy, however, it did not work for my basement door, I have a tile floor and it just did not work for me.

Bought this for use in hotels while on a road trip. I like that it was easy to use as one person and instructions fairly easy. I ensured correct installation but thankfully never had anyone try to bust in from the other side. It's a bit heavy to carry but we'll worth the peace of mind.

I like it. Very easy to use and serves the purpose. Very useful especially when faced with neighbors---people who just open doors of others without knocking. It would also give a better assurance when placed under the door at night. I tried to open the door after using it and --- couldn't open it.

Unable to install a lock on my bedroom door so thought I would give this a try. It's great and really sturdy - makes me feel much safer when home alon.

I bought the larger version of the DoorJammer and it's an extremely capable piece of kit.It's quickly and easily fitted to various inward-opening doors in rooms with both carpeted and hard floors, though I haven't attempted to fit it in a room above a loose-fitting mat; I guess it would be less effective in this case.This larger version comes with a set of various sized plastic wedges which fit in any available space over the top of the door, making the whole installation even more tight and secure.The DoorJammer is fairly weighty, about 890g, so is a consideration if you're carrying it on a plane journey.It does not claim to be a replacement for a standard door lock, but I'd say you'd have difficulty in easily getting past one of these devices that had been properly fitted!I guess my only concern is that it might prove to be a fire hazard, but the instructions state that the device can be quickly removed in an emergency by sharply pulling it upwards and away from the bottom of the door. I haven't actually attempted to do this but it looks to me like that would work.Fairly obviously, this shouldn't be fitted to an emergency door or a fire door. I'd say that it's an indispensable device for anyone regularly using hotels where security might be an issue.An impressive piece of kit.

At first it seemed really sturdy.. but now that we have used it daily for the last 4 months (living out of hotels sucks) it has deteriorated quickly. The sandpaper which keeps it sturdily latched to the door, completely gone. And in the last two weeks the base has completely separated from the "screw" in extender....Bad quality.Tried to contact manufacturer and was not met with any support.

Well... Another bait marketing....... 1)they dont fit all doors at all..(thickness wise) ... 2) the extension part only comes with the small size....... 3) it takes forever to install........... Or you may think its fit then try it and be shocked that it wont wind air because it slides...... 4)doesn't fit all floors..... 5) my friend is a builder,,,,, so he was trying for less than a minute to figure out what jamming the door, without him knowing,,,,,,,,, he literally looked in the gap underneath the door and with one stroke of a heavy deauty screw driver to the bottom of the door to the grip (door bit) jammer came off easily.... Terrible do not rely on it for security of your fam or loved ones.... Thnx for the refund amazon
