Patriotic Instrumental Solos: Flute, Book & CD

The music book is fine for beginners, but the accompaniment on the C.D. is pretty hokey. I was disappointed the accompaniments were not better. They all sounded like an organ or "electric piano" that I would never play to in public. It is o.k. for beginners to practice to, but you can find accompaniments better than that on YouTube.

Enjoyable to play and I like the accompaniment. I have already performed a couple of pieces for Flag Day and received a fantastic response.

Fun book for beginner who is proficient at playing range of flute octaves. Highly recommended.

My daughter (four years flute experience) was easily able to play this music in church for Veteran's Day. The accompaniment was wonderful.

I play my flute at nursing homes and for the most part the residents like the music. I don't understand why the U.S. Air Force music (Off We Go Into the Wild Blue Yonder) isn't included. Also I don't care for the arrangement of Amazing Grace. My favorites are The Battle Hymn of the Republic and Grand Old Flag.

I'm not sure why Amazing Grace is in this collection, but the rest of the songs are easy and fun to play. I especially like the Armed Forces Medley. All the accompaniment music is nice and doesn't overshadow the soloist. There are, however, only 8 songs total.
