Great Continuation
So far I have all the volumes available to this story. Reading has cleared up some of the things I was unclear about in the anime. Waiting for vol 8 to be made available and will be purchasing that as well. Read the story in one day. Could not put it down. Loved the black and white pictures that were included. Story still made me sad but also made me think more about this society and what could happen in the future if technology gets out of control. Great addition to the library of fans that have viewed the original anime and the reworked version.

then I would recommend this series
Pleas be advised that this syfi story is not for everyone. If your mind is not open then don't read this book. However if you can let your imagination go, I mean really let it fly, then I would recommend this series. It has good story that took me on a journey I did not expect but I understood. It reminded me of what our society could have been like if we were not brought back from the brink of self destruction by consciences men and woman who said one word. No.

Great story but terrible translation!
Riki's life is at serious risk in Eos and Iason goes to great lengths to protect Riki. Something which makes Riki see Iason in a whole new light. This is a pivotal book for the development of Riki and Iason's relationship. However, I can't give the book the 5 stars the story deserves because DMP did such a lazy job translating it. While the speech is smoother to read for the reader than the previous Kelly Quine translated books, this one is missing whole scenes, important lines and it has one seriously mistaken gender. One very crucial line about the exact moment Riki began to fall in love with Iason is actually left out. Seeing how this whole volume is about how relations between the two leads were improving and Iason was now more caring and considerate to his Pet, one would think that's something that wouldn't be left out. Yet, this important moment for Riki which clarifies much for the reader is left out of this translation. To top it off, one of the Blondies named Aisha Rosen is referred to as a female repeatedly in this book (all 13 Blondies are male). There really isn't any excuse for how botched and sloppy this translation is. It's a shame because this volume was such an interesting read on Riki, Iason and even Guy's growing inner turmoil concerning Riki.3-9-13 Edit Update and Spoiler Alert: Since some want to know where and when Riki starts falling in love line is left out. It would have been on page 119. Special credit to Rainbowfam for first discovering these errors (later confirmed by me). Missing crucial lines in quotes below. Beware SPOILER!!-----And then, Iason broke into Riki's house at that night, after a year of seperation, when Riki was taken by Iason, he couldn't help but be aware of his hunger to Iason's caress, his body went out of control. Riki knew his body was starving. He understood this and gave in."At that moment, it was the first time that Riki desired Iason from the bottom of his heart."Riki was willing to give up his freedom. For enslavement, to be touched. The years of absence had changed not only Riki, but Iason."However, when Riki returned to Eos, he noticed that he wasn't the only one who had changed, the way Iason had sex with him was also different from the past."-----It's a big difference from the novel's text and that's just one example. All of chapter 10 is edited down and missing lots of scenes. It's such a pity.

would love to read this. price gouging has ruined this.
I love this series! been trying to get vol 5, 7, 8. but I can't. Sadly the price gougers are selling a 10.00 book for almost 2400.00! for vol 7, and 8. And almost 900.00 for vol 5. The same with the other volumes. Except vol 2. (publisher must have printed enough of that one )In tears, I love books and love a good story. This is a good science fiction story. Steamy and good plot (with the vol I have been able to afford.) This over pricing for a 10.00 book breaks my heart. Going to write to publishing company to see if they can re-publish so poor book lovers can afford and discover a good story.

Good
Okay to start off the story itself if good. The downside is this series has suffered from iffy translations and editing. The end is near in this series.

So amazing story
I have loved this book! It is charming and a great story! The masterpiece of Yoshihara Rieko is a classic yaoi story and this new ediction it is amazing.Jason's feelings are so difficult to talk but the writer is so grat in her narration! There are so much sex in this story...but th sex is functionally to the narration: with the sex the characters talks!Great story and great writer.

What's with the translation?
Okay, so I reckon that anybody reading this pretty much knows what the book's about, so I won't go over that. Enough of a description is given above. But what what on earth happened with the translation?!! The English is mostly smoother than before, indicating that someone who speaks better English is now checking it.There does however continue to be this problem with the tenses. English tenses are very complex but very important in working out whether the events being described are happening now or are over and done with. It can be very difficult to ascertain whether the actions being referred to are the way things are now or the way they used to be, whether an incident is occurring in the present or the past, and they can jump back and forth more than once within the space of a page or two. I have no way of knowing whether this was a problem originating with the author or whether it stems from the translation, but it is an issue which can be jolting sometimes. (That problem is not exclusive to this book, but has been true throughout the series.)However, half the names have changed, which constantly jolts the reader out of the story as they try to work out who is being referred to."Robby" has suddenly become "Lavi", "Schell" has become "Cher", the "Jeeks" have become the "Zekes" (which, admittedly, works better in English considering the similarity of "Jeeks" to "Jerks"). And "Aisha" has become a WOMAN!!! Blondies are male only, so I don't know how one of them is supposed to have suddenly had a sex change. Especially as they are androids! Other names also may have been changed to protect the innocent, as I could not connect them to past characters at all - did they refer to someone we had already come across in passing or were they completely new?I really don't think this is acceptable practice. Once you've chosen the names, you have to stick with them! Or else perhaps this should be the tale of Andy (formerly known as Iason) and Elizabeth(formerly known as Riki)?
