I wish there was an updated version of this. Some of the places they mentioned are closed.

New to Oregon (and to dog-owning) we were eager to do a good job socializing our puppy and this book helped us do just that. The lists and ranking of dog parks, trails, restaurants and hotels is extremely helpful. We keep this book in the car and it comes in handy for giving our pup a play break on road trips, and for finding fun spots during weekend adventures. Wherever we move next, I play to buy the appropriate version of 'The Dog Lover's Companion' for that area!

The book came quickly and in excellent condition. About the writer: I was disappointed that more accommodations in the PNW don't welcome dogs...not the fault of the author but I expected the names of places to stay not just visit with my dog.

The book has good info- well written- easy to read. As with any guide it gets out dated and some of the info is dated, but it gives great ideas that just a little research fixes right up.

A terrific book. I bought it as a gift for someone who lives in the Pacific Northwest and they only have positive things to say. Nothing too specific here, but I am told it is a great book.

Pretty decent book. I saw this book at REI for like 20.00 bucks and alomst pulled the trigger. Figured I would check amazon first. Good thing i did. The book is really good though. Its a nice book to throw in the car when your traveling so you know where you can take your pups.

I was disappointed that there were not more specific references to where to buy pet products. I bought this book because I will be moving shortly and will be new to the Seattle area. This did not give me the information I need as to animal friendly neighborhoods, pet stores, etc. The information given was too general for me. I have Seattle guidebookss that give more info.

Great information about what not to miss and many options that included places that were not main stream. I keep the book handy when exploring a new area. Well done!
