Excellent Quality All-Metal Solid Mirror Diagonal !
Excellent quality all-metal (no plastic) mirror diagonal. Very well made, better than expected for a very reasonable price (I already have the Celestron one). Looks very sturdy and cleanly machined, the eyepiece has a brass holder ring inside so as not to mar the eyepiece. The mirror is nice and clear, the two sides can come off for cleaning if needed. Note that this diagonal is not a prism one.

A good value, but it could use some improvements
If you’ve purchased an inexpensive ($100-250) refractor it probably came with a cheap plastic mirror diagonal that is too small and uncoated, and consequently wastes a lot of the light entering it. Even worse, it may have come with a 45 degree erecting prism that wastes even more light, and is uncomfortable for viewing objects high in the sky. This mirror diagonal has a full size mirror with dielectric coatings that directs more light into the eyepiece. It’s an excellent upgrade, but it can be made better. If you look into this diagonal you can see that the side plates are made of plain, unfinished aluminum. That’s not good. The problem is that this metal surface reflects light inside the diagonal, and that reduces contrast. If you paint the inside surfaces with flat black paint, that will greatly cut down on internal reflections. To do so, remove the three screws that hold the plates on, and put the rest of the diagonal aside, so you don’t get paint on it in the following step. Next, clean the plates you removed with alcohol, let them dry, and paint the inner side of the plates with something like Krylon Ultra Flat Black Paint. Several light coats are best. Let these dry thoroughly (overnight is best), reattach them, and you’ll have a greatly improved mirror diagonal.(Amazon’s listing says that this diagonal has an enhanced dielectric coating; it does not. It has 90% reflectivity, which is not bad. But for another $10, you can buy Svbony’s better diagonal, which does have a dielectric coating with 99% reflectivity. Well worth the extra dollars for better telescopes.)

Got a nice view of Jupiter on the first day!
I was able to line up on Jupiter and 4 of its moons on the first evening out using this diagonal. I am using on a classy old Orion/Vixen VX80. Having the 90 degree diagonal in place instead of the 45 degree unit it came with makes it a lot easier on the back! And the view was just as spectacular as you can hope for. No distortions or difficulty at all from this part. Be sure that you are aware of the physics of a mirror diagonal, the image you see is upside down. That does not matter quite as much with stellar objects, but it does mean your motions of the scope feel weird as it moves in apparently the opposite direction.

This is good stuff!
Truly well made. I’m so tired of cheap junk. This was a great surprise. This is a quality 90 degree diagonal.

Excellent diagonal
I never thought that a good dielectric mirror diagonal could be obtained at such a good price.

Protec ya neck
This is a nice diagonal. Gives nice bright views. Upright mirrored image like most diagonals. Unfortunately I wanted a correct image diagonal so I don’t use this as much. Very well built and has the same look as the two inch diagonal I got from Sky-Watcher.

Erect Image Is Not A Correct Image
The build quality is good. The image is bright and sharp, but this is what is called an ERECT Image and not a CORRECT Image as advertised. While terrestrial objects will be correctly oriented in the eyepiece, they will be INVERTED. This is different from my SVBony 45-Degree diagonal, which offers a CORRECT image in the eyepiece that isn’t reversed.

A good, inexpensive option!
A great improvement over my previous diagonal. Much less CA and a better quality view. Shockingly well built for the price.

Excelente diagonal.
Aunque se ve frágil y medio mal hecha, refleja muy bien la luz. Presiona muy bien el ocular y se queda fija en el Telescopio.

Great
I needed to change the stock diagonal. This looks a nice product. Well built and very clear even with my stock eye pieces. I am going to buy all telescope related products from Svbony from now on.

Sturdy construction
Good quality mirror. Great overall.

Bueno
Mejoró un poco la calidad a diferencia del que venía por default con el telescopio scope travel 70mm y te da un poco más de apertura en ajuste del enfoque. Recomendado
