Save your money.
I am rarely deceived by inaccurate product descriptions or ads portraying products to be of a nature and quality that varies to the degree that causes me to actually write a negative review, but this one takes the cake. These Hook Keepers are a great idea, and as a lifetime fisherman with many rods of all types, I thought it'd be nice to have some of these. The pictures show them mounted to what appears to be a normal sized rod section - and from these pics you'd naturally draw the conclusion that they might be suitable for any normal sized blank - say 1/2" or 5/8" diameter. These things are so tiny that they will only mount securely to the top section of a rod, which is where you'd never want to park a lure. I tried several different methods of my own design to try to keep them mounted to the rod shaft, but they would pop off as soon as I hooked a jig or bait hook to them and snugged the reel. You're better off using a zip tie with a screw hole in it. Waste of $6.00. Not worth the postage to return - straight into the trash.

A little flimsy.
These are not as robust as I had expected, but I haven't had an issue with one breaking. I did have one pop off, but it was an installation error. It leaped just as I was reaching to fix it.If your rod is bigger than about 3/8" (10 mm) diameter it the point where you want to install these, there might be a tendency for these to fly off due to the way the o-ring grooves are made.I like these better than I do the lure keepers that were made in to my rods.I can recommend these within their limitations, as listed above.

Fall off over time
They hold up well at first but over time rubber bands stretch out and they start to fall off.

Not as good as they seemed.
Not happy with the lifespan of the O-rings used to hold these to the rod. They dry out and break. Seemed like a good idea. Just didn't perform as expected. Can't recommend this item.

They seem really cool but every time I’ve gone out with them I bumped him and they sprung right off
