Great book, a must have for the Lego Modular Fan
This is the followup to the Lyles brothers utterly jaw droppingly amazing Lego Neighborhood Book. The First book is perhaps the best book a Lego fan could ever get their hands on. This one is not quite that good, but is easily the second best of potential Lego books.Much like the first the brothers start off with some easy to follow guides for capturing real world architectural details in Lego form. And some excellent examples of different styles or periods of architecture converted to Lego. There are tons of amazing pictures. The book also gives some examples and instructions for scenic detail builds and a great guide to miniature city building. Which is fascinating, but sadly probably not the thing most buyers of the book are looking for. What those buyers almost always are are fans, builders and collectors of Lego's Modular Standard Minifig Scale Creator Export type Buildings. And much like it's predecessor the real value in this book is in the nicely laid out instructions for creating one of the Lyle Brotehrs amazing custom designs for your city. This is where the book falls a hair short of it's predecessor. The Corner Pharmacy abd Soda Shop instructions found in volume 1 are one of the best Lego projects and are easily on par with any of the officially released sets. This volumes Courtyard Apartment building while really really nice, lacks some of the intrest and utility of that prior build. Don't get me wrong, it's nice. But it will likely be used as more of a backdrop building in your City display. Whereas the Drug Store is a front and center building. If you have an advanced Lego Builder in your Household these two books, Vol 1 and 2 are the best things you could ever get them. But I would strongly recomend getting Volume 1 first as it is the stronger offering. Volume 2 is nice, but not as stand alone.

I LOVE LEGOS!
This book is as good as the first book in this series! great details and parts list. My son had a boatload of legos, as a kid, that I still have in my basement. The only thing stopping me from pulling them out and trying some of these, is that the parts are all mixed up and would take a while to find the right pieces to build with. But once I do organize the whole lot, I will definitely be playing with the legos and using this book! Will be great to entertain the grand children too!

Great Lego Idea Book!
I can't believe that I'd missed getting this book when it first came out. I just stumbled across it. I have the first book and I'd purchased some of the Lego building designs before that. I loved the first book and my Chili's building.I barely have time to build the official Lego sets. I don't buy these types of books with immediate plans to build anything. I did manage the Chili's set several years ago and I still get complements on it. What I like about these books is just the creativity on display. You see how much fun the authors are having with Lego. It also shows anyone flipping through the pages that you can literally think outside of the Lego box. I hope they have a 3rd book coming out.

Excellent for Lego Builers!
I love this book! The ideas are all very fun to make!*I bought it used and I would say it's not in "good" condition--so maybe beware as far as the seller is concerned

Another awesome Lego book, can't go wrong
What more can I say? It's more of the first book, well worth it, very inspiring, esp to my wife (a stay-at-home mom) and our Lego age kids.
