Good for sketching not good for watercolour
I was disappointed with this book. Not great to warercolour on and the paper tends to go a bit bitty if you know what I mean (paper tends to got to pieces when adding a couple of layers of paint. I'll use it as a sketchbook for ideas.

Paper can be used with fixative.
I have to say that was really happy to receive my sketch. At first glance the paper seen to be of good quality, with a sturdy cover and binders.I had decided to use some little pastel before starting my sketch. I lightly sprayed (I am asthmatic so I mean little spray) the paper and immediately the paper bent out of shape and now has become buckled. The paper is nice, but not thick enough. If you are wanting to use a pen or markers this paper would be fine as long as you don't overwork it.If doing work that you need to use fixative (eg. Pencil, charcoal or pastel) this is not the pad for you. I recommend looking at artgecko's other pads with an higher gsm.

I am so disappointed! this is rubbish.
I was so excited for my art book at arrive. I got the splash one which is supposed to be 300mg thickness as I wanted to get back into water colours. Well I can tell you this book is beyond rubbish. The paper is thicm so there is no bleed through but the paper it self is not suitable for water. Any small amount of water and the paper starts getting little rolls of layers coming off. You can see in the picture. I'm not sure if I can return it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Not great for wet in wet watercolour
I bought this to use for watercolour sketching. Sadly not really suitable. It’s much smoother than I expected, although does have slight grain. If using wet in wet the surface of the paper starts to disintegrate leaving bits rolling around. I’ll use it for dry media, but “splashy” it’s not.

Love it for acrylic paints
I'm loving this sketchbook. I'm.using it with my acrylic paints. The reason I didn't give 4 star was because I've only has 19 sheets of paper not the 20 it states and the paper does tear easily even with the lowest tack tape thats been made less sticky before applying to the paper. But for acrylic paints it works well. Im an artist but the paper will ripple with to much moisture and does need quicker application to avoid paper damage. But as long as you're used to that it's a fab little book!

Lovely sketchbook and great value
Lovely and sturdy book. I got it to use as a scrap book and am very happy with the quality of the paper and covers etc. I’ve only been using it for a few weeks but I except it will be durable when put into storage of a book bag etc.

A great landscape sketchbook for artists
A gift for a sibling who wanted to paint watercolour. Although the paper could be thicker, she had no issue doing her artwork in this and has produced some amazing work in it. This arrived super quick and the quality of the sketchbook is fab.

Disappointing paper
This may be just mine but all sheets had 4 marks/ embossed lines so not the pristine sheets for watercolours. Really took the gilt off the anticipation of painting in a nice clean journal. With Covid-19 around chose not to return it though.
