Most vent clip mounts I used were flimsy and never felt secure, so I switched to an adhesive windshield mount. Worked very well and was super sturdy and secure. But after a couple southern summers, the adhesive began to melt and it started to slide down the windshield. It was a pain to remove and clean residual adhesive. Thought I would try the vent clip on this one and it is working nicely so far. Very secure and sturdy. My phone hasn't dropped once, even when driving through potholes ans speed bumps.

I first off want to let everyone know just how wonderful this company's customer service is. Top notch, from offering additional suction cups in the heat to just following up on how our experience has been with their product. All of it has left me incredibly pleased. There are so many car mounts, and being particularly short (5'3) I've always been worried about obstructing my already lessened view of the road. I can say that adjustability of this allows me to have it straight on my dash, but extended far enough towards me so I can see the entirety of the road without a big phone in the way. There's another plus to this feature though, and that's for cooling. Phones get very hot while charging, and if you use GPS or any other app while driving you would typically keep your phone charged while you do it. Almost every other mount I've used has had my phone (black) positioned on my black dashboard, in a black holder, under the heat and unrelenting sun. Needless to say, I've had many overheat warnings in the past. This is the first mount I can have full customizability with in terms of placement. What does that mean? Nice and cool set above my air vent. Direct icy airflow to my charging phone. This isn't a slow USB port charger I'm using either, it's a standard USB C type that rapid charges my phone. That gets HOT. But not with this bad boy, that is also constructed so air can get to the back of your phone too. This thing sucks. Literally. The suction on this is so intense that I didn't need the base plate for many of the cars I've tried it on so far. It just slurps onto that surface and STAYS. The one con is that you absolutely need it if you have a rounded surface or heavier texture on your dash, it makes it impossible to actually stick to the surface, but that's not at all a production issue and more of a "why are car manufacturers making dashboards that are super hard to keep clean" issue. Overall? I've tried pressuring all my relatives to buy this product. I am a major fan, and have even tried getting my fiancé's mother to purchase it (She's in England and drives for work often). I completely and utterly recommend this whether it's for glass placement or dashboard. Side note, this can also double as a really effective phone holder in the kitchen (not it's advertised use). I've stuck it upside down off my cabinet and it's made reading recipes much easier!

Very sturdy. I don’t particularly like the way my phone fits in the holder but that is me personally. This is one of the best holders on the market.

UPDATE since DISCLAIMER:: ITS SUMMER AND YES THE HEAT EFFECTS THE SUCTION. I DID HAVE TO RESUCTION AFTER THE 1ST 80° DAY. SO I BASICALLY REDID THE WIPE DOWN AND SUCTION AND been okay so far. STILL RECOMMEND!! Everything needs a lil maintenance 🙄 and this is nothing, monthly wipedown in summer is fine i wash my car more often than that😂 DISCLAIMER::PURCHASED AND USED DURING WINTER MONTHS SO FAR. REVIEW IS BASED ON inside of car being no more than 60°ishy Seems to hold on suction but there is sticky on the suction cup when purchased. Bounces all over my work parking lot, which is bumpy ole incline and just bounces slightly, enough for a "Soccer mom seat belt reaction," first coupke times, ha. But stood strong. I have a Note 9 inside of a double-layer otter box and not problem with the fit, or weight since Novemberish. PLACEMENT IS THE BEST FEATURE. YOU SET YOUR PHONE ON THE LITTLE PRONGS(PLUGGED IN CHARGER OR NOT) AND SQUEEZE...BAM PHONE SECURE...until you release with button. No issues with plugging in charger which is the best feature. Ive also placed it so I can still use my finger printy thing too. It is super adjustable and sturdy, I basically found the angle and height I wanted and locked into place. But can adjust at any "safe time". FOR THE RECORD, I DID SNAP PHONE INTO PLACE WITH THE GRIPPING PLACEMENT AND FLICKED 3-4 TIMES over my bed before actually mounting AND PHONE DID NOT RELEASE or even move.

Purchased in Jul 2022. Adhesive pad did NOT stick well onto the textured plastic dashboard, and was thrown in a garbage after 5 min. Suction cup works very well, even without a pad, even on a textured surface: in the 1.5 years of use, it fell of 2 or 3 times when the car was parked for the whole day in a hot weather. Otherwise, it's very grippy and feels super secure. Hinges are sturdy. I do not recall adjusting or retightening anything, not even once in 1.5 years. I have an average "noname" Android phone, 155 mm long x 75 mm wide (6.5 inch diagonal), not super heavy (compared to today's "monsters"). The only minor inconvenience I have with mounting it into the holder is that I have to squeeze the clamps rather hard to get that last "ratcheting click" to ensure the clamps "hug" the phone tight. Before you buy it make sure the buttons on the sides of your phone are positioned rather high, because if the "power button" on my phone was a few mm lower it would end up under the clamp... Overall, it's a very good product. I've been using it mostly on the city roads with occasional light off-roading. Zero regrets.

I've had a hard time finding a decent phone holder the KIA Telluride. I reecently purchased this for my Telluride, primarily because I didn't like the one I had that was in the cup holder. It took my eyes off the road. I wanted the phone more at eye level. Also the cup one caused arguments on who would get the other cup holder for what ever they were drinking. Finding the right phone mount for a KIA Telluride wasn't easy. This one came with a decent clip for attaching to the air vent and a 3M disk for a dashboard mount option, plus it had a suction cup. Something had to work. Thank goodness, the suction cup works well on the windshield. I discovered that vent clips wont work in a Telluride, and the dash isn't flat enough to take the 3M disk unless it's over the area the attaches the display screen to the dash...which could be a problem if anything ever happened to the display screen. Thankfully the suction cup is good and seems to hold very well to the windshield. I mounted it on the lower left side corner of the windshield and this is working well for me. It's at eye level and doesn't block my view of the road. So if you have a KIA Telluride, don't bother with the 3-1 version of this phone holder, or any other mount type for that matter. You will only be able use the suction cup to windshield mount or a cup holder mount or there is one that uses a clamp on the council but again, the same issue with diverting the eyes off the road and it's in the way of the cup holders. This one holds well and I'm happy with the result. My phone is precisely where I want it. As far as the hold on the glass... The better test will be when I leave the frozen north for the Gulf Coast in a few days, to see how the suction handles the freezing to hot temperature changes. So far it's solid and hasn't budged even down the below -15C

Review after 6 months- Quality product in a sea of poor Amazon mounts. PROS - This thing GRIPS, is sturdy, flexible, mounts on uneven surfaces, dirty surfaces, you name it - Love the action of the mount latch, you can tell the suction cup will hold as soon as you pull it down - I mounted a heavy Iphone 13 pro max in a large case, and only partially mounted with 1/5th of the suction cup hanging off the surface and it has never dropped once in 6 months and I drive in an EXTREMELY bumpy area with some of the worst roads in the country, in a large truck with poor suspension. There are so many poor suction cup mounts out there for phones, this is hands down the best I've seen at this price point - The mounting system from your phone is flawless. Releases and mounting are effortless and require only one hand, and I've never felt for a second my phone could come out. I've had many mounts before with poor systems that lock your phone in, and they always end up failing after a while. This thing still feels like new - Flexible adjustments. I had to mount this in a very hard spot on my dash behind my steering wheel. Every other mount couldn't get it and flex outward enough to clear the wheel - but this one did Cons - Zero cons. Buy this thing.
