Great set of scrapers that serves most anyone's scraping needs.
These scrapers were a perfect set of starter scrapers. The burr tool works great. I simply bought a separate flat rasp metal file in order to put an edge on the scrapers. They took an edge easily. There are a lot of videos on youtube showing how to file down the edge and then use the burring tool to turn the burr and create the edge you need in order to scrape your work pieces. These scrapers are basically as big as the palm of your hand. Exact dimensions can be seen in the photos I have uploaded. This set includes your standard rectangle scraper as well as a curved scraper that comes in handy for carving spoons etc.Pros:*Takes a good edge*Great burr tool*Has all the shapes you could needCons:*NoneAdditional Considerations:This set of metal files are the files I bought in order to sharpen these scrapers: Woodstock D3112 File Set with Rubber Handles, 6-PieceOverall: 5/5 stars (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 starsIf you have any further questions regarding the product in my review please leave a comment below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

What I really like is the burnisher
I'm seconding another reviewer that while the burnisher is Crown, the actual card scrapers are "Clifton," whoever/whatever that is (still has a Sheffield mark, though). And of course, if you're buying card scrapers new, you need to (or probably already do) know that you'll need to spend a lot of time with them in order to work them up into scraping shape. I think this is a nice set if what you really want is a burnisher (which actually seems to be of quite good quality) and don't mind some decent card scrapers thrown in. But, if you just want card scrapers, you can also use the back of a chisel, or the length of a really good quality screwdriver to burnish them.

Great book, and in it I found a few ...
I am a beginning woodworker and have recently purchased Nick Offerman's book called "Good Clean Fun". Great book, and in it I found a few paragraphs about cabinet scrapers. Nick says to get yourself a good set of cabinet scrapers and learn how to use them and it will change your life. Well, I had never used a cabinet scraper and didn't even know what they were for....but I took Nick's advice and bought this set. I watched a couple You-Tube videos on how they work, how to use them, and how to sharpen them and found out that Nick was spot on. I now use them for scraping dried glue, scraping factory varnish off wooden handles so I can oil them instead, scraping imperfections from panels or frames, and the list goes on. This set seems to be high quality steel and very sharp out of the box, and the sharpener is included. Thanks Nick.

Clifton Scraper set and Crown Burnisher
I like the set a lot, I do not have correct sharpening tools, and the scrapers did not come with polished edges, but that is my job to do ;-}. Interestingly enough, I did use the edges on the rectangle as shipped, and the scraper works wonderfully (my first experience!).I am off to buy some diamond plates for these scrapers, and my planes and chisels! Thanks Guys!Mike

Great product
This tool is really amazing. Makes leveling off significant amounts of wood very very quick, compared to sanding. Take 30 minutes to view online videos about how to make the burr, and you'll be impressed with how well it works. Holds the burr for an impressive amount of time if you ask me.

Quality built and worth it
I like the curved scraper blades for our boat work. I use a rat tail file and a mill bastard file to grossly file the surface every 3 -5 sharpenings and the burnisher to roll the edge for ALL sharpenings of many kinds of softer metal scrapers like paint scrapers, Crown cabinet scrapers and others. I DO NOT use the burnisher for any harder metals like chisels and thes can be sharpened to a fine edge with a 1200 or higher grit diamond stone.

Mirror like finishes
These are great. The burnisher is high quality. You will still need a bastard file to get a good edge but they hold an edge for a while and it doesn't take much to resharpen the card. I enjoy using these over sandpaper for fine finishing.

Better than expected
While some have complained that the name of the product is misleading (calling the product Crown Tools) if you read the description it is evident that only the burnisher is a Crown product. That said, the scrapers work very well with little sharpening. Like any cabinet scraper, you need to keep it sharp, which is not difficult at all with this burnisher, and when sharp, the scrapers work like a charm!
