Random House Webster's Crossword Puzzle Dictionary, 4th Edition Paperback – May 9, 2006

I bought this book again. Wore the first one out. Love doing crossword puzzles!

Bought this for a friend of mine who absolutely loves doing crossword puzzles. She is almost 90 years old and says this is the best book for helping with crossword puzzles! I will take her word for it!

This book is in excellent condition. Hardback book with no stains or discolorations.

This is, beyond a doubt, THE most authoritative reference guide for crosswords...Evah! According to the Random House Puzzle Meter, we do "Medium" level puzzles (no easy feat, this) and this book is a tremendous help for those of us who function as mediums. We even remember half the stuff we look up! OK. Maybe a quarter because we keep going back for more...We've tried other references and really, nothing compares.

This is a hard cover updated version of small paperback. I like the layout as the text is larger. It is a much larger book so it needs to stay at home. This edition was released in 2006. There are many updated items as well as new items that have occurred prior to 2006.This book is a must have in my library

I am disappointed of the number of words that I cannot find. Other than that it fine.Thanks, Jean

I wanted an updated version of this particular book, but my fault, I did not check the size. It is like a small telephone book! So it's just too cumbersome to use like the one I had before. I ended up buying a newer copy of the 1995 version which is what I had before. It's the size of a regular paperback novel. So, CHECK THE DIMENSIONS BEFORE YOU BUY, I'm sure it will work fine for others but this one is definitely not an easy handheld book.

I have done the New York Times Sunday Crossword Puzzles for at least 50 years. This my second Random House Webster's Crossword Dictionary and I hope it lasts as long as the first. My first was in tatters before I finally gave up and bought a new one.

Thinking of returning it. My 20yr.old Dictionary was better than this.

以前は電子辞書だけで解いていたのですが、矢張りそれだけでは限度があるなぁ・・・と感じ、初めてクロスワード用の辞書なるものを買ってみました。そしたら面白いほど解けるようになり、より一層クロスワードを楽しめるようになりました。ｖ（＾＾）ｖおまけにちょっとした類語辞典のようでもあり、意味こそ書かれてはいないものの、同じような意味でこんなにいっぱい言葉があるんだなあと思う事もしばしば。持っていて損はしない１冊だと思います。
