This is a fantastic nightie. I bought the size 7-8 for my average-to-slightly-smaller-than-average 7yo. It fits perfectly. It is a flowy, billowy style so there is some leeway for weight. I wanted some long sleeved nighties for when her arms come out of the covers and knew she would like something frilly and fancy, not something with a bright Disney princess and her animal sidekick emblazoned across the front. Over the past month or two she has worn it a lot and it has not shrunk or stretched, stained, faded, come apart at the seams or been clingy with static. I would definitely buy this again, buy it for a friend and recommend it.Edited to add: 1 1/2yrs later this is still going strong! Great material and construction.

This is child’s sizing however I bought it for my 97 year old grandma because she is the same size as a child. Petite clothing is still big on her as ladies adult sized clothing, even in petite sizes, is still cut to fit typical female bodies with allowance for breasts in the chest area. Many senior women lose weight as they age and their posture changes, causing their chests to no longer fit as well in clothing. Lack of body fat means her chest is essentially flat, like a pre-pubescent girl, and without the breasts the chest area of women’s clothing hangs lower on her at the neck or gaps open. The alternative is high necked garments which isn’t always feasible.I tried this gown thinking the higher slightly higher neckline would work well for her and it did.Also, it is very difficult to find simple nightgowns for adults. This was modest enough to make her feel comfortable wearing it but not so childish as to appear to be a child’s nightgown.The quality is very good. It’s a thick knit material, similar to a thick cotton knit shirt and not the thinner knit material that is used in many garments to cut cost. The lace detail at the neck is pretty and helps to add coverage. The length of the gown works well for my grandma because she’s only 5 feet tall and in a wheel chair. This comes down just past her knees so when she’s sitting it still covers her legs. On a child I could see where this would be longer, hitting around the mid range of the lower legs.I bought 2 of these - one in lavender and the other in pink. Both colors are as shown in the listing. I wish there were more colors so I could order more.So far these have washed well without any issues. Just basic laundering for them - washed in warm water and dried on a normal setting. I haven’t noticed any substantial shrinkage.The price is also great, given that most similar children’s nightwear is more expensive.One thing I did note however is that these do not appear to meet the CPSIA safety guidelines for US children’s sleepwear. I wasn’t really expecting them to because these are made overseas and usually hit or miss as to whether products will actually be compliant. These don’t appear to be flame retardant as required for children’s sleepwear in the US, however that wasn’t really an issue for us, given that I purchased these for an adult.I would/will purchase again.

After a wash the night gowns shrink 1-1.5 sizes. Also The sizes are pretty accurate for the AVERAGE size kids. If your girls are bigger then average, or have bigger bottoms or stomachs I recommend getting at least 2 sizes bigger (since they shrink about a size.The material is super soft, comfortable, and slight strechy. The neck line covers the collar bone but is not chocking. At the right size (pre a wash) the night gown lays at mid calf. If you want it to be longer, I recommend at least two sizes bigger.

I got this for my 7 year old, who's a little on the small side for her age. We bought size 7-8 and it's perfect. A bit big, but not in a horribly huge way. We all LOVE it. I was happy with the quality. It feels like a real piece of clothing (could have been costume quality, I was happy it wasn't). She wears it around the house all the time - she's happy too. She looks so cute in it. I can't be mad at her when she's wearing it, she's too cute! She has been bugging me to give this 5 stars on amazon, so here we are.

I am really pleased with this nightgown. I've become accustomed to buying products, receiving them, recognizing they are cheap,chinese garbage and then sending them back. This baby blue nightgown was well sewn with a stretchy, comfortable fabric. It is true to size, ankle length on my child and comfortable to sleep in. I'm pleased that the seems are strong and there are no strings or missed stitching. This product is sturdy, well made and may last until outgrown!

The design of the nightgown is very cute but the quality and make is prettty cheap actually, especially considering the price. Mine came with a loose side seam that I had to re-sew, the bow on the front was sewn on completely off-centered (I ended up just removeing it completely), the fabric was nice but besides that, it’s not something I would recommend to anyone, especially at this price point. The only reason I didn’t return it was because it arrived in the nick of time for a “100th Day of School” theme day and I made my kid wear it because we had nothing else to wear.

My 5 year old daughter loves this nightgown. It's soft and warm. I ordered a size 6 because she's tall for her age and it fits perfectly and will probably hold up to make it through next winter as well. I'm ordering a 2nd in a different color she enjoyed it so much.

Very soft. Will be a perfect costume, then I will gladly enjoy sleeping in it! The children's size 14 fit me, an adult who wears a women's extra small, well: loosely, as intended.
