This is the second saucer from this manufacturer I have bought. All I needed was a saucer that could be used as a bird bath during winter, having shut down our fountain for the winter. We live in Colorado at 5000' elevation and I really don't care to operate the fountain during winter months. This saucer fits the bill perfectly. The first saucer I bought was identical to this most recent purchase, other than the color. The saucer lasted through 3 winters without a problem. Finally, though, it succumbed. I do use a bird bath heater, placing it atop a flat, thin rock which I have set in the center, bottom of the saucer, not wanting to have the heater in direct contact with the saucer. I then cover the heater with another flat, thin rock. Eventually, after 3 years, the saucer bottom cracked, thus the new saucer. Hey, a plastic saucer lasting 3 years with freezing temps, snow, sprinkled with 50, 60 and 70 degree days, a water heater keeping water from freezing, birds, squirrels, raccoons and who know what else helping themself to a drink of water and that saucer lasts 3 years?!? You bet I'll buy another when it gives up the ghost. I've had this one now since December '22 and no problems, soon to be put away for the summer. I don't expect to buy another until 2025 and will buy this again . . . but, maybe a third color this time.

This makes a phenomenal ground bird bath and general watering hole for the backyard critters. It's lightweight but holds enough water to keep it solid on the ground. Its shallow enough that I don't have to worry about the smaller birds and rodents, but wide enough that the bigger birds and ducks can splash away to their content. Also easy to clean and move around.

this makes a great birdbath. put a decent size rock in it to weigh it down and add water.only drawback is the algae that grows. we leave a scrub brush outside and scrub it out every couple of weeksbirds love it

I got three different sizes. All of them seem to be pretty good quality. The recycling symbol is present on all three, however two of them show where the numbers were ground out of the mold. The one that does have numbers shows *both* 2 (HDPE) and 5 (Polypropylene), which is odd for something molded out of one piece of plastic. But either HDPE or PP will withstand very hot water & most hydrocarbon solvents so if you wanted to use them (for example) for parts degreaser, they should work fine.If ordering one of the larger sizes, be sure to double-check which size you want, because the listings have discrepancies. e.g.: the "Size: 20" is described in the headline as being 17.5"x17.5"x3" & "Size: 24" is described in the headline as being 21"x21"x3.63" (same description as "Size: 21")

Needed a heavy duty saucer for my lemon tree. Seems to be holding up well.

After reading the reviews I chose the 21" and it was the perfect fit. The depth is perfect to put my solar fountain in and still leave room for the birds to sit on the side and enjoy the water. I would absolutely 100% recommend if anyone is looking for a Bird Bath replacement topper.

I have an actual grey cement bird bath which is really too small for the birds to bathe in. I hunted and hunted for something larger that I could afford. Finally I found this plant pot saucer. I added a couple of patio bricks to it and a half dozen rocks of various sizes and voila - a bath that grackles go wild for. (So do the other birds but I have a LOT of grackles coming here and they monopolize it. They're really cute using it though and they make me laugh) After all the hours I spent hunting, and I even bought a fountain, but all that's really necessary is this saucer and a few rocks. They LOVE IT.

The media could not be loaded.  Ummmmmm. I bought this one day. It arrived the very next day. I put it out the day after that with some rocks and a solar sprinkler that I sourced off Amazon also…using feedback as my guide. The birds were in it the same day. I can’t get them out. I need more trays. Excellent quality, perfect service. Get it. I’m sure it would be great for plants too. Xo

We measured our pot before purchasing and bought the appropriate size, but as the pot slants outwards a lot the upright form of the saucer didn't work. When we went to return it, as it was a "sizing problem" it didn't qualify for free shipping. The minimum shipping charge was $28, for a $34 order! No mention of this shipping stipulation prior to buying, and a store using Amazon saves money by not needing a storefront and should expect that some sales will need to be returned. This is a RIP-OFF! Besides the plastic was flimsy, and not worth the price to begin with.
