I can't put this book down!!!
I'm on page... well idk because the pages are not numbered and I love that. I've never been a fan of reading because I have reading comprehension issues. In addition, I get bored and distracted easily. Every page of this book speaks to ME!! I love how I'm forced to think of myself. I read. I pause. I meditate. I'm in awe. I resume. I took a break to write this review in which I never do. If you want to start pouring into yourself... start here! Treat yourself and get this book!! ♥️

FABULOUS Book!
Book Review: “What A Time To Be Alone” by Chidera Eggerure (@theslumflower).•After randomly falling in love with the spine of this book one night at Barnes and Noble,I swore that I would eventually buy it and read it. After being on my Amazon Wishlist for months, I decided on a whim, to simply buy the book myself. I read it in one sitting. It was that good.•I’ll be honest and say I bought this book ENTIRELY for the illustrations inside. But when I found out that the book also talks about being 1000% confident in who you are as a person, I immediately fell in love with the words too. I don’t think I have anything negative to say about this book, so if you are in your early teens to late twenties, I think this would be a perfect book for you!EASY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5 Star Review.•Here are some of my favorite quotes:1. “Maybe you aren’t doing as well as you thought you’d be doing by now, everyone around you looks like they’ve found their mojo, the world seems to be moving faster and further without you... but just remember, you’re still purposeful”.2. “Nobody is ever going to be able to fill your you-shaped hole for you. No, not that hole. The gaping hole we all have inside of us that deeply craves validation, love, and comfort. It just won’t work. You’ve got to be fond of yourself enough to support yourself emotionally, regardless of the intimate company of someone else”.3. “Stop waiting for people to give you permission to believe that you are amazing”.4. “Certain mistakes must need to be made, in order for the real growth to begin”.

Insightful and Inspirational
I highly recommend this book for those of us learning what self love, self care and self forgiveness entails. Beautifully written and straight to the point.

Targeted for a black audience, helped a white woman
Well, maybe I should’ve read more about the author before purchasing- but the title grabbed my attention and I purchased quickly.I’ve been single for longer than I’d like to admit, and hoped this book would help me realize how good it is to be single and happy. The focus of this book was primarily on removing toxic people from your life; and if you’re that toxic person in other’s lives, change that. This book kind of confirmed what I already knew about not forming co-dependent bonds with people and learning how to be self sufficient and set my standards high (like they always should have been). Now all of this is important to review and remind oneself from time to time however what was interesting about this book was the layout. There would be a page with just a quote and then BAM a whole page about black peoples suffering and how white privilege needs to be understood and not overlooked. I will admit that racism is real, of course! But in a book about being happy being alone, I found it an odd theme to be bringing up. Maybe I’m wrong but it was peppered throughout the book in a way that really didn’t flow with the other themes. In all, I enjoyed reading this book in one sitting while alone today at a local park overlooking a beautiful backdrop. This book reminded me how valuable life and my time is, and I definitely didn’t waste it reading this book. I’d recommend!

It’s okay to improve yourself
This book was suggested to me by my therapist. Let’s just say it was exactly what I needed to read in this time of loneliness. Healing is a journey, but being comfortable in my time of loneliness is needed for growth. I would recommend reading it!
