High quality poles at affordable price
These are great Nordic walking poles. They include everything you need to get started. Montem seems to be able to offer lower prices because they don’t waste money on advertising costs. Nordic walking requires a special technique you need to learn. To learn how to hold your poles, adjust them properly, and walk correctly watch instructional videos on YouTube. There is too much information about that to be included with the poles. So if you are a beginner you absolutely need to visually see the correctly technique. This can be done in about 30-45 mins watching online videos. You can also look up online how to use the different Nordic walking pole feet and included mud guards. Use the included feet on paved and grassy surfaces and use carbide tips on dirt or gravel. The mud guards help stop splashing and dust or gravel from hitting you.To know what length of the poles are correct for your height take your height in centimeters and multiple by 0.68. Then round to the nearest interval of 5. For example 188 centimeters x 0.68 = 127.84. There for 130 would be a good height but if that too tall try rounding down to 125. There are premade charts online that do the math for you for reference. These poles come with a great hand strap. This style is really the “advanced” specially made for Nordic walking style. So it’s excellent to have as it makes the walking technique easier. You can also press the bottom on the top of the handle to clip or I clip your hand strap from the poles. This is great if you need to use your hand for a minute and need to unhook it from the pole.Montem makes great hiking poles and it’s so wonderful they offer specialty Nordic walking poles. This is a great exercise and sport that is popular in Northern Europe and it’s so nice to have more equipment options in the US. I would recommend these 100% and will recommend to people I know.

The pole is made with very good quality materials and is outstanding to use.
As I said above, the poles have helped me tremendously. Two problems.1. No instructions, this is a major oversight.2. Does not collapse enough to put in luggage for a flight, had to ship via post office back to my home.Everything else works wonderfully, the polls, holds my weight, and the gloves are comfortable and click in and out easily. I could barely walk a half mile because of my back and asthma. In about a month now I’m almost up to a mile.

Perfect, adjustable poles
I walk with these everyday. Adjust height easily with a twist of the pole to tighten or loosen, and the telescoping pole can be raised or lowered. They have a comfortable cork handle and durable arm straps. Perfect in every way and really ups the workout of a walk!2 years into using them virtually daily, I remain completely devoted to these poles. If you watch videos on Nordic walking and really use them properly (this is important—if you aren’t pushing off with them they won’t work as well), it not only gives you the kind of workout you’d get on an elliptical, but it greatly relieves pain and pressure on one’s joints and back. I used to be limited by knee pain and back pain. I am now much fitter and have improved posture and grip strength. I literally love these.

Rubber tips wear through in less than 10 miles. No instructions. Otherwise they work fine.
The poles are good quality. Adjustment of length is easy and intuitive. Quick disconnect for gloves works well but is a little awkward (best done with opposite hand). The rubber tips wore through in less than 10 miles (obviously not up to the task). There were no instructions but there is plenty of info online to get you started.I purchased “extra durable” replacement tips which will replace the worn-out stock tips.

Again….NO INSTRUCTIONS!
The poles seem pretty nice, but why no instructions? Yes, there are YouTube videos on how to Nordic walk….but, what are the black round things? And do I assume the pointy end of the foot faces forward? I THINK I have the glove on right but not sure. A graphic would have been helpful….on the website if the company doesn’t want to create excess trash. It shouldn’t be that hard. The website gave a “live” chat with a bot (!!!!!) who didn’t understand my question.

Get in stride!
These are really nice poles for Nordic walking. After about 2 months of using regular hiking poles I decided to buy a pair specifically for Nordic walking. These are much more comfortable than plain hiking poles and help me get in stride and stay there. I feel I can walk faster and get a better workout with these. They seem sturdy and unless I take a bad spill I can't see how I would break these.
