Scandals, Rumors, Lies (11) (Canterwood Crest)

My daughter has "graduated" from Pony Pals and Pony Days, Magic Ponies and Magic Pony, etc, but not yet ready for some of the older series. She is in 4th grade and around an RL 5.6, so we wanted more challenging but not grown up. The manager at Barnes and Noble recommended Book 1 to her and she read it and was hooked, so we got the rest of the series for her for Christmas. She is on book 5 and I imagine, since it a new series, that the books will retain resell value, although she plans to keep this series to re-read again whenever she wants to. The nice and not-so-nice thing about this series is that it does deal with real life bullying, mean girl and social issues, which is a big step from the fluffier children's pony books of 1st-3rd grade that she was reading, but since she has had to deal with some issues at riding school, she likes to bury herself in these books as a way to unwind. I like that she talks to me about what is happening in the books.

I am like in love with this book its awesome!! Its like my favorite one! haha i actually say that about all of them after i read them, but i really really like this one! I loovvvee Brit! I havent read elite ambition(book 10)yet because i bought them on amazon and scandals, rumors, lies came first but i couldnt wait any longer haha and it was sooo worth it! This book is talking about how Brit and Sasha becoming roomates and how thats working out. It also talks about how Jacob and Sasha's relationship is going. And theres a new tell all blog telling rumors and lies about Sasha and her friends and there school! Who is being soo mean to tell all these awful rumors to the whole school? I personally think it might be Julia, but I havent even read unfriendly competition yet so I dont know yet! cant wait to find out!!

Daughter loves these books

we picked up the first book at a garage sale...she was in love immediately....i have since got her a book at a time...she read 5 books over xmas vacation alone!!...i think she is on her last book of the series and then she will just have to wait until a new one omes out...it will be miserable for her...once she starts she cant put the book down until its done....and she learns a few tricks on riding too... :)

This book was great but to be honest it wasn't the best book In the series. It was still really good though

Buy them for my granddaughter. She loves the series

This is such a great book. I think Jessica did an amazing job with this book and I would surely recommend this to kids 10 and up! :)

Amazing series! I read these to my 8yo daughter at bedtime. We both very much enjoy the books!
