Birds Choice 1202 Pole Mount Flange, 1 in., Black

I liked the first one I ordered so well that I ordered another to use on a bird feeder that needed a non-swiveling pole mount flange.

I used this flange to put up a bird house feeder on a 1’ pole. It’s very light and only had three spot welds holding the two pieces together. It’s a little pricey for the quality. The flange also comes with three mounting screws. Overall a decent flange for light weight mounting.

5-13-2013. I have used Heritage Farms Absolute II Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder Price: $63.68 for eight years and it has performed flawlessly. I now bought another for a family member. For the new one I purchased the "Birds choice Mounting Flange For 1" Pole by Birds Choice" from amazon.com instead of using the plastic adapter and the 1" thin metal pole (four sections) that comes with the bird feeder unit. I found the steel pole so flimsy that I purchased a 1.5" diameter plastic water pipe 10' section from Home Depot and installed that in the ground after cutting the pipe to a 7' length (burying one foot deep into the ground). You attach the "Birds choice Mounting Flange For 1" Pole by Birds Choice" to the bird feeder, then use the plactic pipe adapter and shim it for instertion into the plastic pipe to create a very sturdy pole that will withstand any weather. The "Birds choice Mounting Flange For 1" Pole by Birds Choice" requires some shimming and drilling screw holes into the bottom of the feeder to mount, but it fits the plastic pipe, especially if you use a 1.5" to 1.25" plastic water pipe reduction adapter fitting, also available at Home Depot. My first pole setup has lasted perfectly for eight years, but I like the newer idea better.

I was hoping to find a larger diameter. My mom put some left over fence parts (> 1") for bird feeder stands. And these were too small. I had some left over audio mic stand parts to mount them to and insert inside said posts, so they work, but it would have been nice to have a larger option.

Just what I needed to mount a birdhouse to a once inch diameter pole. It is sturdy. I was asked to rate the product for warmth, but I'm not sure what that means. On a cold day the metal is cold and on a hot day the metal is warm.

Received promptly...sturdy enough...screws included. Problem was IT DID NOT FIT A 1 INCH PIPE.

I purchased this to install a feeding platform on one of my 1" bird poles and it fits great! I build my platform with some scrap wood I had and used this flange to mount it on the pole. It works great and the platform is pretty sturdy.
