Chef Urbano Smoked Paprika Hot 100g (Produce of Spain)

I love Paprika. I have traveled to Budapest and bought Paprika to bring home. I love the product that Doyen makes and sells out of Mumbai. It has a real mideast flavor. But as far as the Indian style paprika goes I was still looking. But I found it! This spice is terrific. Hot and tangy with the right amount of smoked flavor. Thank you Chef Urbano.

Smoked flavour is too mild. Good colour. Mildly pungent.

Super flavour and great aroma. Earthy, woody and smokey notes. Works wonders on my slow roasted chicken.

The bottle contains exactly what it says. Smoked hot paprika. I've had instances where Sone vendors have passed off chili powder claiming it to be paprika. Not this. Compares quite favorably with Spanish paprika

Its my “Go To” product! Just love using this for anything.. Just add smoked paprika to Chicken, Fish, Paneer, Veggies, anything!! It tastes awesome!!

With its high ratings and confidence of it being Amazon fulfilled, the product turned out to be an utter disappointment, considering it had an utterly repulsive kerosene taste, quite likely from the way the peppers were roasted, or something else that ought to be even scarier. The brand does have a good reputation and having used it in the past, this purchase has been regrettable to say the very least. And if only to add insult to injury, Amazon flat refused to even consider the most obvious recourse in such a scenario despite my son having wasted an hour of his workday time talking to customer support, wherein both the executive and their supervisor, despite being very professional and polite, stated that Amazon's glorious policies don't allow return or refund of items based on subjective perception of taste/flavor, insomuch that a seasoning condiment cannot perform its basic function by being hopelessly useless with an overpowering kerosene raste to it.This experience has been quite baffling considering that it makes one cynical about the scope and reliability of ordering food stuff from a reputable online service like Amazon's. While subjectivity of perceived taste makes for a understandable contention for fulfilment of sale of a food product, better and more customer friendly policies could have left us with lesser inconvenience, not to mention also save us from indignity of having to haggle for our basic right as a buyer.
