Feit Electric BPQ50T4/RP 50-Watt T4 JC Halogen Bulb with Bi-Pin Base, Clear

The high/low/off switch on my desk lamp allows high 50-watt and lower illumination with this halogen bulb. This is a very useful feature. Halogen bulbs come in different designations that have different size plugs/prongs on the bulb. The two bulbs in this package have the T4 JC designation. If T4 JC is not printed or stamped somewhere on your lamp, the lampshade, the original box, or the papers that came with your lamp this bulb will not fit properly into the bulb sockets in your lamp. If the numbers don't match use another halogen bulb that matches the bulb designation on your lamp. This bulb is very hot, very bright, and will burn fingers. Under no circumstances touch the bare bulb when removing it from the packaging. Hold it in a clean handerchief or something similar during installation. Otherwise, oil on your skin will cause the bulb to burn out prematurely. The price is fair and includes free shipping. Have had these bulbs for one month. No problems with the first bulb so far. Would probably buy another package of two when they eventually burn out if amazon still has free shipping.

Bulb is an exact replacement. Glad to keep the lamp going -- great high-intensity light for close work. Just pay attention to the clear directions -- it's important not to leave a fingerprint or any other contamination on the bulb. Also, be sure that the glass element positioned in front of the bulb is in place to filter out the ultraviolet rays.

Fit into my light easily without breaking and is bright. The writing/description on the bulb was clear enough to identify the type of bulb too, whereas the one I took out wasn't. No complaints here.

As you will know these little light bulbs can cost a fortune and this price for this little light bulb was fantastic the only thing is is you can't really tell from the picture you got to make sure that the numbers match your your numbers that you need make sure because there's so many ways this could not be the right light bulb that you need and it's a bummer if you order it and it almost works you can't be the price though if you get if you order the right one you just cannot beat it

I was debating for so long on whether to splurge on a name brand bulb or for getting multiple bulbs from a no name brand. Example - getting one bulb for 6 dollars or getting eight bulbs for same price. First impulse is go for the 8 bulbs but reading into the reviews, there seems to issues on those bulbs. So for the sake of safety and peace of mind, just buy the Feit bulb. It works and works and works every time.Feit has been a valued name brand for me and my family. Also, the price in Amazon beats the big box stores.Recommended!

Out of the few items I've managed to keep from my teenage years is this old modern styled desk lamp. I don't know how many time this thing has almost hit the donation bin. Do companies still use halogen bulbs these days anymore? The little sticker underneath says to use 12V 50W Max JC type bulb. So this is it. You can use the 30W, I went with the 50W since it the lamp has two brightness modes. This is only the second time I've ever replaced this bulb in the near 30 decades I've owned it. Changing the bulb is a little sketchy as you have to wiggle it in and you can hear the ceramic holder scratching and grinding, sounds like the glass is chipping as well. I used a napkin to hold onto the bulb so I wouldn't get any residue on the bulb. It works, only time will tell how many more years it will be around.

The price is right for an add-on product, but I wish these things would last longer. The last one died within 6 months of using once a night for about two hours. Planned obsolescence is so annoying - and not so great for the environment either!

The package says that the average lifetime is 2000 hours but this bulb stopped working within 30 seconds. The filament didn't burn out so I don't know what is wrong with it.

The tines were not as wide as the ones I have been able to purchase from a hardware store.
