Brickman has came up with some good stuff once again!
Another seasonal winner from Brickman. We've seen his Chrstmas show at least 7 times plus 'regular' concerts at Conner Prairie, Cincy and Louisville. Obviously he is one of our favorite performers! This set continues and enlarges his use of medium to big name singers, etc - ie Kenny Rogers. This is something he has done for much of his career as a way to pull in people that are fans for the other artiists. I think this is a brillant way to expand his exposure! All of the songs are well done including the 'new' ones. I did think the Kenny Rogers one (That Silent Night) was particularly interesting. It was nice to hear Anne Cochran and Tracy Silverman who are nearly always with him at Christmas. Tracy plays some real 'different' stuff with his very unique instruement (check out his Trip to the Sun albumn if you can find it).By the way if you get a chance to see Jim and his friends at Christmas make sure you become a VIP and do the meet and greet before most of his shows. All of them are friendly and will sign anything - you also can get your picture with them - all-in-all a really neat thing!!I would rate this a really high 9.0 to 9.5 - highly recommended!UPDATE --- After listening to this 6 or 7 times I would like to add that 'Clouds' (the great song written by the late Zach Sobiech) is a real stand-out2nd update - you might want to check out Ben Utecht on the internet. Since I live in Indianapolis and he played tight end with the Colts for several years, including the year they won the Super Bowl, he is quite well known here. He sang with Brickman at his Christmas show a few years back and had a surprisingly good voice. He's struggling with memory loss due the 5 concussions he had as a NFL player. His story is both sad and uplifting as he's writing songs and stories for them for when he will no longer be able to recognize them.

Once Again ! ! !
He Has Done it Again.....Once again Jim Brickman has provided us with a Christmas CD that is sure to become a holiday favorite. He has given us new interpretations on a couple of classics {Elvis' "Blue Christmas" & Mariah Carey's, "All I Want For Christmas is You"} along with brand new tunes that will surely become classics. He gives us a new song "That Silent Night" recorded with one of his long time idols, Kenny Rogers. Then there is the musical interpretation of "The Night Before Christmas" sung by John Oates {of Hall & Oates fame} {another one of Brickman's idols}. And you can't leave out his "partners in crime" .....Anne Cochran who expresses a heartfelt sentiment in her song, "I Wish it Was Christmas All Year" & Tracy Silverman who, on his electric violin, performs the hauntingly beautiful "Christmas in Brazil". Other collaborations include Orla Fallon {formerly of Celtic Woman} & John Trones singing "A Celtic Night" {Oiche Chiuin}. This CD includes a "Bonus Track" entitled "Clouds" written by Zach Sobiech. It is sung by Jana Kramer. Zach Sobiech was a young man who at the age of 14 was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. he wrote the song "Clouds" which is about his cancer journey after his cancer diagnosis. He was a member of the band that he formed called A Firm Handshake. Zach Sobiech passed away in 2013 at the age of 18. This song on the album is Jim Brickman's tribute to him. This CD along with his other CD's {Christmas or otherwise} is sure to become a favorite for all. I am not quite sure how he does it...{it must be all that "Brickman-izing} but, he manages to find ways to make the "old" songs "new" again. The quality that most of Jim Brickman admirers would probably agree on is that his concerts sound just like the CD's. What you hear on the CD's is what you hear in concert. This is sure to become a staple among the holiday CD's. It has earned a place in my collections.

Lovin' the piano
Love the Christmas piano music and this CD was really good. There were 2 songs that had singing which I'd prefer just the piano but still a great purchase.

This CD will fascinate 1st time listeners & long- time fans
Jim Brickman's distinctive style always entertains. This CD is special in so many ways--- the selection of songs, having Kenny Rodgers as guest vocalist and "Clouds" which brings true meaning to the Peace the holidays are meant to exemplify. If you are new listener to Mr Brickman this is perfect introduction. If you are, like me, a long term fan this CD represents some of his best work.

Yet another nice Jim Brickman album
Yet another nice Jim Brickman album. I played this many times during the Holiday season. I love the duets on this album. This album would appeal to a lot of age groups as the music is not real 'stuffy' as some piano CDs are. Highly recommend this album.

Jim Brickman instrumental pure und nicht zu viele Sänger mit dabei - ein echter Weihnachtsgenuss !
The media could not be loaded.
