HAZARD 4 Privateer Modular Velcro Patch Tactical Panel Cap - Coyote

This is a cool hat, I've been thinking about getting it for a while before I did. I'm a patch collector, and this gives me some room to display. It's solid enough to keep my bald head from burning, but breathes enough that I don't even feel it in the heat. The only problem is that it's maxed out at 7-3/8 hat size, and a little snug at that. It fits me fine, but anyone with even a slightly larger head would be uncomfortable.

Great hat, excellently constructed with quality material and a well-thought design. BUT, if you're bigger than a 7-1/2 (I'm a 7-3/4)in a fitted cap, you're going to have a hard time getting this to fit right. The adjustable velco in the back just doesn't give enough freeplay in the actual shape of the hat, so after a certain point it just won't get any bigger.I like this hat, but I wanted to love it, and unfortunately, I can't.EDIT: 30SEP2015, still waiting for an improvement on this model. I still want it really bad.

You can't help but look like you know what your doing in this hat. It's comfortable with plenty of Velcro for patches and such. The keeper clip might get in the way you can remove it and adjust it. For reference, this cap in coyote is almost the exact color of the 5.11 dark earth. The patch on top, made for a night vision beacon from what I know, allows wearing earmuffs for shooting without the usual button digging into you scalp. Sturdy, quality cap for outdoors, shooting, operating, whatever.

Coolest hat I own heavy duty construction plenty of room for patches or flashlight. Plus a built in clip so when I'm riding in my jeep with the top down I don't have to worry about losing my favorite lid.

Doesn't quite fit my head right, but that could just be me. I still wear it around, the quality is good.

fit funny?

Some may find Hazard4's pricing intimidating, but the caps fits well, kept my head temperature just right in and out of the sun (talking about walking around Morocco on a job) nice points for morale patches if that's your bag, the velcro tee clip lanyards a nice touch and the cap comes with a plastic shape maintainer when stored on a shelf or in your locker.Made out of easy clean materials and the sweat band on the brow didn't get irritating to me unlike with other caps in the same ball park Hazard 4's catering to here, had an *nder *rmor which simply drove me up the wall in the end when the brow cloth went all itchy and scratchy on me.Over all recommend the cap, oh and there is an assesory clip/loop thing for flashlights for all the tacti-cool kids out there.

Love this hat. It is my shooting hat now. I have lots of patches on it, plus it allows for pins too. On the back, adjustable strap I have placed both a Canadian flag and a Molon Labe patch.There are 5 areas where you can put various patches.And the adjustable lapel clip is handy for those windy days. It can be tucked up and stored, or even taken completely out, if you so desire.
