Purchased this as a gift, so I can't comment on how well it works--reviews speak for themselves. But, if you're not a golfer, then you don't really know what an alignment stick is in the first place, but what is clear is that all the photos show the Selfiegolf attached to the alignment stick. Not hard to see how I and many others were surprised to learn, in my case the day before Christmas, that the alignment stick is not included. Come on, guys, by this time buyers have made it very clear that your product description and photos are misleading. So fix it.

I really like this device. It fit on my alignment stick great, my Samsung droid phone fit great and it attached to my bag while on a push cart perfectly. I wasn't expecting much from this device but it exceeded my expectations. I recorded at least 10 different videos and all were great and easy to use, plus you can use your phone to look at your swing in real time which is nice for looking at plane.It opens to fit a variety of sized phones and alignment sticks. There are a couple of bag attachments included to facilitate different sizes of alignment sticks.The only cons would be the device that attaches to your bag is separate and I see myself losing that device, so I just used a driveway marker as an alignment stick with a pointed end and stick it in the ground to hold the phone without that attachment. They do provide a nice bag to put everything in with a cinch top.The other con would be you can only record with phone in portrait orientation and I play this back on my large flat screen TV and rather it be in landscape/wide screen, plus many swing apps would rather it be in landscape. But that's no big deal to me as I normally just use the phone.

Been golfing for about a year and a half now. I’ve been going to this one driving range trying to find places for my phone to properly record my swing. Now, I have this awesome phone holder to record my golf swing. This is not cheaply made with lots of though put into it. I have alignment sticks and it works perfectly with them. I have a 7 plus with a case and this thing holds it firmly in place.My advice is to buy this thing to help improve your golf swing. A truly crucial device to be permanent in my golf bag now. Thanks for the great device !

Didn't really think about it until it arrived, but this only does portrait. Makes it harder to share videos. Can't watch on a landscape screen without it being tiny.In retrospect multiple reviews already say that...I missed it or didn't realize it care.Also have to be farther away or you'll miss your backswing in the video. But it is sturdy. I was hoping to leave it attached to my bag and just set my bag up behind my swing to use on the course but it isn't that steady... Moves around, though that was a bit of a pipe dream.Seems like I'll get good use of it assuming I don't get annoyed if the video orientation and return it.

I used one of these that a friend has. Really impressed with it compared to the old gorilla grip knockoff I had. You put this on an alignment stick and then place your phone in it. It also comes with an extra clip you put on your stand bag and then attach the alignment stick to that. That stabilizes the stick (which does not come with the holder). That's important if you are videoing in the wind. I've got a Samsung Android phone with Bixby. One of the only uses I've found for Bixby is that I can get the phone set up in the Selfie Golf and say "Hi Bixby, record a slow motion video" and he makes it happen. When the swing is over, say "Hi Bixby, stop recording".

Pros:- gives you the simplest way of recording your swing using your bag, alignment stick, and phone.- the clamps are very tight and sturdy- the plastic material feels thick and strong. I don't see any reason it will crack under any circumstances.Comparison between 2017 and 2019 model:- this is the 2nd time I bought this. First time I bought it was in December 2017 and the second time was in October 2019, both directly from amazon.- There seems to be no difference in quality, everything looks just as good, however, the drawstring bag that it comes in became noticeable thinner and worse quality on the newer one. Older bag was a lot higher in quality.

The directions that came with the product were not good but the follow up email with the picture on how best to set it up was fine. They should reprint the direction sheet with those photos. It would also be nice if they included some suggestions for apps or programs that would be good products to watch the videos in slo mo. I have taken a couple video sessions with my phone and immediately downloaded them to my computer since even a few minutes of phone video is a huge file. Satisfied with the product but they could do a couple things to step up their game and create more of a wow effect.

Excellent concept! Works as advertised. Everything is plastic so it wont rust but also effects durability. The golf bag clip feels flimsy and only time will tell how long it will last. Fits and holds my s7 phone perfectly. Prefer this device over having my wife film me because the recording is far more stable. Nice velour bag keeps everything together. I like it.

I've been waiting for someone to invent a simple clip on phone holder and this does exactly what you need it to do. Whereas with most tripod mounts you can't see the camera view from behind the mount, this allows a reasonable rear view of your screen, making it easy to position the camera and hit record. Also, with the tripod mounts I've used, you have to tighten and untighten a screw to attach the phone, where as this is a simple spring loaded clip so it's easy to take the phone on and off the mount. I was worried the weight of the phone might cause the camera to turn easily on an alignment stick but it grips tightly and I had no issues at all. I use the Swing Profile app which you just set to record and it automatically captures each swing you make. I use the bag clip that comes with this mount to attach an alignment stick to the top of my golf bag, then make sure the alignment stick is upright and secure on the ground. Simply clip on the mount, point the phone and away you go. Very very easy, and no need to carry a tripod to the range. Brilliant product.

This is a great little tool. Easy to set up with either an aim stick or a club you're not using (I used my 7 Wood). Very steady with my iPhone 10X. I then used the video with Hudl Technique. Could see errors in my swing straight away.

This is a fantastic product.....very simple to use attached to an alignment stick which provides a stable holder for my mobile phone in the golf bag. This has allowed me to film my swing quickly and easily every time I'm at the range, which is really helping in terms of identifying improvements. I've tried tripods and other phone holders in the past but this is certainly the easiest solution I've seen as I can carry an alignment stick and the SelfieGolf clips in my bag, and set it up quickly and easily anywhere.I also received fantastic service from the SelfieGolf team in the USA when I had a recent query........a pleasure to deal with.

Great for reviewing your golf swing when working on improving and developing. This item is very well made, durable and has a firm grip on your phone. It’s small and easy to remain in your golf bag at all times, fits snug on an alignment stick.

Bought this to attach my iPhone 8 to video my golf swing. Haven’t used it yet but will do so when I practice! Seems a good sturdy piece of kit and sure my game will benefit from using it with the golf swing app!
