Good quality. A real life saver
The fit is as described in the fit guide. I wear XL shirts, ordered the XL vest, and it fits perfectly with plenty of adjustment if I were to lose, or gain, 30 pounds (hopefully lose). Perfect for kayaking and kayak fishing. This is so comfortable, that I now wear it every time that I'm on the water. Even on those calm, 97 degree days, it does not get too hot. Additionally, the pockets and attachment points, allow me to keep some often used items on me, rather than in difficult to reach areas. Phone, camera, knife, pliers, etc. All right there. As for safety..... Put it on and get in the water. Tip over your kayak or canoe. Jump out of your boat. Do that to 1. Practice in case something ever happens, 2. Gain confidence in this vest that it will keep you afloat. Too many people store their life jacket, rather than wear it. Sure, tipping over is not disastrous when you are a good swimmer, but I now know that when I do tip, I no longer need to scramble. That leaves me with energy to keep paddling and fishing for the rest of the day.
