Fantastic entertainment
My daughter absolutely adores this and my eldest did too. This has been read so many times I know it off by heart. It captured both of my children's imaginations and the bright illustrations engage them too.

One of our favourites!
My son asked for this after it was read to him in his reception class. We both love it! He gets so actively involved when we read it together. Illustrations are great and we find other things to do like counting how many monkeys. A fantastic book!

Enjoyable reading for grown ups and toddlers.
I love the books with the character Albie in them. They're written in a way that you have to make exclamation noises and change your voice to adapt to what Albie gets up to next. The book has my daughter giggling away and she even shouts out "ALBIE...oh no, its mum" at the right point in the book. If you need any more tips get How to Grow a Dinosaur, its fab.

Love this story
Borrowed this story from the library and had to purchase it as little one and I loved it! The pictures are all very colourful and engaging and it is an ingenious story about an everyday task, going shopping. If my little one is looking like she is going to have a tantrum in a shop, talking about this book usually diverts her attention. How to grow a dinosaur is also very good.

Great book!
We purchased this after my 3 year old Son read, loved and learned word for word this authors other book 'Alien School'. Now this one has received the same treatment, he loves the bright colours, there is enough text on each page that he's engaged but doesn't become bored. It was a great purchase.

We have all of the albie stores as our 2 year old loves them. Excellent books for a toddler and quite interest as a parent to spot how the story evolves from albie's imagination.

Love it!
My 3 year old thinks this is brilliant and so do I. Imaginative, entertaining, funny and fantastic, colourful illustrations. He also has 'How to Grow a Dinosaur' so feels like he knows Albie and his mum well! My son joins in with the words in bold font ('enormous' etc) so its helping his understanding and application of vocabulary. The stories are entertaining without talking down or oversimplifying. Love it! Buy it!
