Formation in Faith: The Congregational Ministry of Making Disciples

Awesome, please read as you enter Ministry and then again in a few years to recognize your growth and reaffirm your vision.I am so grateful for the authors willingness to take the time to share the gifts and experience that was given to her.
I will share this with not only my church leadership but also with my congregation as this gives meaning and direction to Christians of all walks and stations in life. Truly a blessing

I'm thinking, I'm thinking . . .
The proof is in the praxis. For me a book on faith formation or disciple-making is as valuable as it is useful. The jury is still out on this one. Its tone tends to the academic and the abstract. However, sometimes academic and abstract discussions can translate to effective action. They can provide the raw materials of conceptualization and strategy. Can its concepts and strategies be implemented on the ground, and if so, will results occur? I'll have to get back to you on this one.

good solid book
even though I seem to know all the info in this book. Sometimes we need to be reminded what our main purpose is in the church. Encourage you to read it.

I get the distinct feeling that this author was told ...
I get the distinct feeling that this author was told to write clearly by someone who then proceeded to spit in her cheerios. The writing style is needlessly circular and verbose, and I don't feel that it's backed by experience nearly so much as theory.
