Stiga Sports NHL Stanley Cup Rod Hockey Table Game - Montreal & Toronto

This was my 5 year old grandson's favorite Christmas gift! Well built.

Pros: high quality 3-D players; excellent player range of motion; no puck blind spots (i.e. no matter where the puck is it can be reached by a player); great rods; can score goals from a wide variety of players and angles; 31 NHL teams (includes LV Golden Knights); great quality puck; legs are stable with little chance of being tipped over; fantastic goalie control rod.Cons: subpar assembly diagrams are accompanied by very poor English instructions; the table does not snap into the included legs (the table can easily lift off its moorings); no puck faceoff mechanism; left wing player cannot be brought to home side of center line for a true onside faceoff; ice surface slipperiness not as predictable as I would imagine it to be (puck travels too far or too little --practice will make perfect but this is a learning curve); missing Seattle Kraken decal; puck eject mechanism from the goalie net is poorly designed; no names of star players on back of figurine jerseys; flimsy score counters; team decals should be duplicated on the *outside* of the boards too --not just the inside (I prefer not looking at the giant STIGA lettering). Relatively expensive for what you are getting: comparable tables with 2-D figurines in the 1980s were less than half the price even after adjusting for inflation in 2021 dollars); no puck storage mechanism (i.e. there should be a slot to store the pucks somewhere on the unit itself).

I was extremely happy when this table hockey game arrived at my home! I was assembling the game when I came across one plastic tab that was broken off from the plastic boards along the walls of the game to prevent the puck from flying out. I messaged this concern, and the seller was really understanding and helpful. They asked me to send some photos of the item defect, and then immediately sent a new board piece by mail. Overall, the build quality is amazing, and I am now enjoying and bringing back my childhood memories of this lovely table hockey game.

Really good quality game. Hockey sticks are metal, not cheap plastic or wooden. Well worth the money. Shipped in a couple of days! My 6 year old grandson loves this!

Quality ok...

I grew up with eagle hockey games and am sad that they're not still in business. So, when shopping for a game for my grandson, Stiga seemed to be the best product available. Stiga makes a quality product and they've made some improvements over Eagle. The playing surface seems superior, slides well and of a material that should wear well. The three dimensional players add a touch of realism. The glass surround is super helpful. Overall, my grandson and I are very pleased with the game. And I want to add that we purchased the game from Splash and Play and received excellent customer service from them. I highly recommend both the game and the seller.

Very impressed wth the great price from outside seller, United Wheels Canada ltd. Arrived quickly and my husband is very happy. Would buy from this seller again without any hesitation.
