These ROCK!
Not sure why I’m so excited about salt & pepper shakers, but hey-what can I say? These seem a little taller than many, and they have a great modern shape. The game changer for me is the little door thing on the side. Super easy to open and close it. Most people are salt people…and for those people-the shaker flows well. I’m all about the pepper though. At restaurants, I end up unscrewing the lid to pour pepper on my food. That little trap door on the side ROCKS! Now if you’re a person who loves to cook, what could be better than having a set of these by the stove to toss in pinches of salt and pepper? I’m sure that’s what these were designed for. They’re great-don’t even think about it-just buy them already!

Simple Salt Shaker
Not alot to say about a salt shaker, but I like the fact it is clear and I can see the salt level, and I do like the little pour spout, which precludes having to get out the large container if you need a teaspoon or two for a cooking recipe. Not the cheapest or fanciest one you can find, but this is the second one I've bought (accidently melted the first :-), so I guess that says it all.

Needs a gasket
The salt shakers always end up spilling around the rim when you refill. They really need a gasket to keep tiny bits of salt from getting inbetwen the threads. Otherwise, ok.

Love the spout for the salt shaker which I use actually more than the holes
Lots of my recipes recommend Diamond Crystal salt and it only comes in big boxes. So I needed a shaker. Typically I use rock salt crystals which I grind, but I don't need to grind Diamond. Crystal. I do find that the holes could be bigger in the salt shaker so I tend to use the spout in recipes, and grind salt if I'm adding it to prepared meals. I use a peppermill so don't use the pepper shaker at all. Maybe I might use that as a salt shaker cuz it has more holes.

Great Shakers
They are acrylic not glass and I like that. They have a little spout on each for pouring. Very nice.

Versatile!
Like that you can also pour through the side as well as shake the salt and pepper. Comes in handy for recipes. Easy to fill.
