I was quite impressed with this beautiful book! Not only does the book have huge photos of the gorgeous gardens that Mario Nievera designed, but it's also very educational.I had often heard about Mario Nievera's design work, but I had never seen detailed photos of his gardens. This book highlights on more than a dozen houses and provides tons of huge, detailed photos of the gardens. The clear photos really impart an inside view of multiple angles of the beautiful gardens, and the photos have descriptive captions.The text includes informative commentary from Mario about his design process with lots of tips and lessons about creating a beautiful garden. (And all the design tips have smaller photos to demonstrate the suggestions.)This book would be great for any lover of beautiful gardens, as well as anyone who wants to become a better garden designer!Not only are Mario's gardens works of art, but this book is beautiful artwork itself!

I am completely obsessed with this book and this man! The book pictures a broad range of his work; from modern manhattan rooftop gardens, to classic coastal Hampton estates, to the glamorous designs of tropical palm beach. Mario embraces these very different climates and moods yet always delivers the "wow" factor to each of his projects. I also appreciate that at the back of the book it lists his staple plant recommendations for each of these areas. Almost like a plant recommendations for dummies. Since I have recently moved from Oregon to Florida I've been using it like the bible.

If you love beautiful landscapes this book is a thrill! Mr. Nievera is the most amazing artist and this book is a showcase of his marvelous work! As a designer the exterior of a home is as important as a beautiful interior. He works absolute magic! I love this beautiful book.

What talent.............Mario definitely has a gift. The book is beautifully illustrated and the commentary is very clear as to the reason for his design elements. I found his suffestions to be much more informative than other books of the same subject matter. I am tempted to call as I need some help with my own landscaping but doubt that I could afford him. That said, I will take notes from him and hope that I can pull my five acres together.

A truly fabulous collection of estates and gardens that hover on the amazingly precarious line between traditional and absolutely modern and contemporary. Mr. Nievera must be a genie! His work is enchanting and I can tell anyone would feel great walking through his designs. This book is a MUST buy for anyone interested in high-end residential gardens and landscapes.

This book is filled with excellent pictures of stunning gardens. The book is organized by the different themes the architect envisioned when creating each of the gardens. There is also a nice section that provides informative descriptions of the many types of plants associated with the different regions of the country.

Stunning gardens that evoke a memorable feeling. There are lovely gardens and good landscaping but these are master pieces from a genius architect of property and nature. As a lover gardens and of books that take the reader "there".....I give this an enthusiastic five stars.
