THEY ARE VERY GOOD FOR THE TYPE OF SNOW WE HAVE IN THE UK. TRICKY TO PUT ON, WORTH A PRACTICE BEFORE THE EMERGENCY, BUT GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. PREVIOUS PURCHASE, FOR A CAR WITH SMALLER TYRES, WORKED WELL DURING THE 2010/2011 SNOW.

We were very late in ordering our snow chains for travel to Europe-and when we checked if we would receive them in time, the helpful staff ensured they were despatched the same day. Although we haven't needed to use them in the snow, a 'dry fit' at home (strongly recommended- doing this in the dark and snow for the first time is not a good idea) proves that the instructions are straight forward to follow.

Both chains broke first time they were used and within 5km of being fitted. This was a major problem as I was on a very snowy mountain road in the french alps and needed to be rescued and to purchase replacement chains for the journey home.

These chains replace an almost identical set I had for my Volvo. I used them a few days ago and they kept me going when others were abandoning their vehicles.

Used these chains recently in French Alps. Good value chains. Easy to fit, adjust and remove with a little practise. Only criticism is the plastic clip breaks easily but does't prevent them being used.Another review mentions having to adjust them, this is what the instructions tell you and in my experience it is essential.

These are good value snow chains, if you don't mind having to adjust them a couple of times before you really get under way. Study the instructions carefully and ensure you have a practice run in dry conditions before putting them on when the temperature is minus something.They helped get my Ford Mondeo Eatate through some difficult terrain in the back roads of North Devon following the January snow.It was a prompt delivery from the supplier as well, they arrived a day earlier than the estimated date.
