Bagthorpes v. the World: Being the Fourth Part of the Bagthorpe Saga

As always with the Bagthorpes, a fun time was had by all and I enjoyed the short relief of Cresswell's humor in my life! Oh how I wish I could live with this family for a bit longer and if more books would be forthcoming, I could. I will need to re-read the set in a year or two for another short, fun, digression from reality.

Every book in the Bagthorpe Saga makes me laugh out loud. When I knew I was going to be laid up recovering from surgery, I ordered four out of the five (or is it six?) of Cresswell's Bagthorpe books. Summarizing any of them is impossible because the plots are so many, so thickly intertwined, and the result, along with being too long altogether, would be like telling a joke badly. Big hint: the only ordinary characters in the book provide the point of view for the reader. Good for adults as well as 12 year olds who can appreciate how funny self-absorbed people can be.
