Review: Will be a precious recorded history - This book is a fill-in-the-blanks question and answer journal for a grandparent to give to a grandchild. It asks leading and personal questions such as, "Where did you meet Grandpa?" and "What did you like about him?" and provides plenty of room to describe your thoughts and tell the story. It is a thought- and memory-provoking process which will delight an older grandchild from around tween and up, in my estimation. You should enjoy filling it in, as well. I recommend it completely. Taking the time to fill in the blanks will be a great time for the grandparent, and reading it will be fun for the grandchild. If the grandchild is older, this book will be a precious look into a grandparent's history. It also makes a good gift for a loving Grandma.

A great idea for your grandchildren
I bought this for my mother to fill out for our newborn. This book is a thorough account of a grandmother's life. It contains page after page of questions about her childhood all the way through to being an adult. There are places for pictures, funny memories, favorite recipes and other bits of nostalgia. My mother commented on how much work and how detailed it was so if you are not that into journaling, scrap booking or talking all about your past, this might not be for you. I am thankful that my mother did this for my baby so that she will have a better understanding of who her grandmother was and is. I will have to purchase the grandfather one soon and If its anything like this one, I will be thrilled.

Great connecter of generations
My wife received a similar book to complete for our grand daughter and when she found out our sister-in-law was becoming a first time grandmother, she wanted to present her with a grandmother memory book. We were amazed at the large selection offered. We were happy with the selection we made, even though it differed slightly from the book my wife had received. Our sister-in-law- was thrilled with the book, she did not realize that such a book existed. Although all books you offer are similar, we were very happy with the details and memory prompts this particular book offered.

Amazing Life Gift for your Grandchild
My daughter gave me a copy of this book shortly after her son, Grant, was born. I spent many hours of memorable time collecting pictures and writing history of my life and my family life. It was not only enjoyable to do, it is a valuable "life gift" for your Grandchild. In one portion of the book it asks for family traditions to be described and how you would like those to be continued. I asked that he continue this book with history of his life and his parents. What a wonderful way to share with generations to come. I purchased this particular book to give a friend who is expecting her first Grandchild. She had never seen such a book. She was so proud of it that she just wept. It will continue to be the gift that I select for all friends as they become Grandparents.

I like the book
Though I changed the title to for my Grandchild, a Granny's Gift of Memory, I like the book. I included dozens of pictures, recipes and quotes. I added items from the front cover to the back. I even added an envelope in the back where I put a letter from me along with special words of wisdom. I have 8 grandchildren so it was quite a project. I might see something they just "have" to know and I'll drag all of the books out and put in what I just found. As long as there is space on a page I will put something in. I think it's important for our grandchildren to know that we were young once and had to face challenges, too.

Not What I Expected
Bought this for my Mom to fill out for my children based on the reviews that stated it would work better for a non-traditional family since my parents are divorced. Decided against her filling this one out and purchased a different one due to the fact the items are more open-ended and my Mom is someone who doesn't write a lot and prefers more short answer type items. The pages are glossy so it would be interesting to see how a pen would hold up once it is written on. I also don't care for how light the font is... definitely not for someone who doesn't have good vision.

Great present
We gave it as a present to Nana. She really enjoyed it for when my son came over. I recommend it.

A lovely book for those keen on passing on family stories and tales from generation to generation. I like the fact that it serves as a connection between grandparents and grandkids.

This is a lovely book, promptly delivered from a British distributor. However it has American spelling and terminology and asks Grandmother the question "Who was the President when you were young?" It makes no sense for this book to be on the British market. I was given an immediate refund when I complained, thank-you to the distributor for that.
