This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Slight shine to it, but mostly matte. High hold and reshapeable. Lasts a long time (longer than a day if you want!) and smells great!

So, in a nutshell, this is one of the best hair products I've ever used. In terms of styling it is absolutely amazing. It gives you a fairly strong hold while not being crusty or hard. You can really restyle your hair by wetting it again. It also doesn't give you that shiny greasy look that most pomades do. The only issue I have with this product it that it is NOT easy to wash out. Or, I should say it wasn't until I figured something out. And it's extremely simple. For anyone having issue or for future buyers there's one thing you need to do to wash this product out with a single shampoo session. When you get your hair wet and lather on your shampoo LEAVE the shampoo in your hair for about 10 minutes. Get it good and soapy on your hair and then move on to the rest of your shower. Clean your body and face and go back to your hair after about 10 minutes of leaving your shampoo on it and I guarantee when you rinse it out the product will be gone. Easy as that. I'm so glad I figured this out because I love this product.

I've been using Suavecito Matte pomade for a while because I don't like the wet look normal pomade or hair gel leaves. However; on my last visit to my barber, she used the Suavecito Clay on my hair. It has that same great smell, but it makes my hair look fuller and holds better than the pomade. I have thinning hair and I keep it cut short but this product keeps it in place and I've gotten more compliments on my hair since using this than before.Some of the complaints are that it doesn't wash out, but I don't have that problem at all. I use a clarifying shampoo and only use a little of the clay on my hair after I towel dry it really well. I put a dab of water on my fingertips and a little of the clay and it seems to do the trick for me. I don't consider this expensive because this jar will last me a long time, so it is 100% worth the price to me.

I considered gatekeeping this stuff but no longer. I’ve been using it every day for about a week and have put it through the ringer (walked around in the heat all day at school, had very intense gym sessions with running/sprinting, etc.) and it’s been phenominal. It gives you an unreal amount of volume if that’s something that interests you and has a subtle shine that I think looks nice. The hold is about as good as you can get (my hair would get a little flat after the long running/sprinting) but if I ran my hands through it again it would be back to how it was. It IS very hard to completely get out, you’re going to need to use extra shampoo/conditioner in the shower but that can be a positive if you like still having texture/volume when you get out of the shower and just towel/air dry your hair. I consider this a positive but could *potentially?* be a negative for someone who uses this sparingly and wants their hair to be flat again. I’ve used hair products for over twenty years and this is by far the best i’ve ever used, I will never buy another and you can’t beat the value.

Always looked for an alternative to Gel. This pomade clay is great. The hold is good, it does not have alcohol which is a plus for healthy hair. It does not leave any globs and smells good.

The product was *really* dried out and cracked when I received it. Looked like a parched desert floor.Makes me wonder if this was sitting in a warehouse for several months before shipping? Unusable.
