I bought this over a year ago for my teenage son’s birthday. He absolutely loves it - out for hours every day using it. It was straightforward to assemble (2 of us) and has proved to be a great purchase. Unfortunately it was blown over in high winds and the hoop bent. A YouTube video and car jack fixed that, and I added more sand to the base. Definitely important to ensure it is secured in high winds. After a year plus of near constant use we noticed the plate holding the hoop to the backboard was rusting and started to shear through. My son was devastated. I searched for a replacement hoop. When I came back to look here I noticed the reviews mentioning “Stanley”…. So I decided to ask if the seller could direct me to where I could purchase a replacement hoop as it was clear help was provided when asked for. My message was late last night. The reply was practically immediate. Stanley is sending a replacement. Free of charge. You just don’t see this level of customer support and service as often as you should. Outstanding. So, we can highly recommend the basketball hoop as great value piece of home kit for the basketball enthusiast. We can also say, if you have a problem, Stanley is your man. Thank you Stanley, you made a young man’s Christmas.

Very good product, and seems to work well in the garden where our two teenage boys like to shoot hoops. Instructions could really do with improving - very difficult to follow and diagrams not clear for something which turned out to be quite simple to put together. It needs two people as it's heavy and very tall. Base arrived with a crack in it and so leaked water, but a replacement base was sent very quickly, and that works fine. The seller also refunded us £30 as compensation for the inconvenience (which was considerable as we'd spent a long time putting it together before discovering the leak.) This was a welcome gesture, although now that the product appears to be on sale for a similar amount reduction in price it's not quite as kind a gesture as originally thought. Nevertheless, the speed at which a replacement base was sent was impressive and we are grateful.

The boys love it. It adjusts height well, staying in place with a simple pressure screw tightening. It is well made, easy to move but if you are moving across uneven ground I'd recommend draining the tank and then refilling after you're done. When filled - (with sand or water, I used water) - the structure is heavy, steady on the ground and sturdy. Instructions were a little hard to decipher (to be fair, this is not uncommon with large items like this) leading to mistakes but taking your time and not guessing makes the job a lot easier. It took me about 2 hours to assemble this on my own. Two people doing this job would make assembly a lot easier. I had a small problem with my order and customer service responded quickly and very positively. Overall, a lovely purchase and the boys use it loads and the customer service / communication was excellent.

This is a fantastic basketball ring. Solid, great materials. When I bought this ring it was £230 and I thought that was good value for money. Now it's only £109 it's a no-brainer. Northern Stone also have fantastic customer service and have handled a couple of enquires with the utmost professionalism, very impressed.

Arrived quickly and was a doddle to assemble. Seems pretty sturdy although the only thing I’ve found is the base and backboard don’t align perfectly based on the pre drilled holes so I have to position the base slightly askew so the board and basket are square to our patio ie the court. Generally very happy with the purchase

Me and my family are so pleased with this purchase!! First of all , this hoop was supposed to arrive in 12 days but it actually arrived in 5 days! Keeping it short, this is a great buy! I'm 6ft and weigh around 68kg, and my brother is 5ft10 and weighs around 80kg and we've dunked on it several times now with the rim standing at 9ft9. They were quick one handed dunks. I would NOT recommend hanging on the rim for a long time tho. Anyways , super pleased with this product that entertains me during this coronavirus lockdown.

I bought this product for my 10yr old son, who loved it. Sadly after 6 weeks one of the brackets attached to the back board snapped. I contacted the seller to request a replacement part. They contacted me within a day and informed me that a new part would be sent out. To my surprise we received a whole new basketball set, much to the excitement and joy of my son. Can’t fault your customer support, which is so rare these days. Many thanks.

My son and I get hours of fun out of this. I built it in less than 30mins. Its a fantastic hoop for front of house bball. My only complaint is the Hermes delivery team that lost the product and where no help in relocating it. Buy this product, from this vendor but don't use Hermes.
