Flyline Galvanised Breeding Bird Cages on Stand for Canary Parakeet Budgie Cockatiel

First, let me say it's advertised as GalvaniSed cage and I'm glad I noticed the difference in spelling before I purchased it. It is not GalvaniZed. I was ok with that. I chose this cage because it's nothing fancy for my breeders and I didn't want anything without a wheeled base so it could easily be moved.The cages seem sturdy and were easily assembled however the directions are poor so you're really not sure when to put the second piece to the cage bottoms in (the piece that separates the birds from the droppings). They are not shown on the directions, but you have to put those in before you put the cage top on. They don't slide in and out like some cages do.I *really liked the fact that it has spring close doors, meaning I no longer had to cut holes in my cages to accommodate nest boxes. But a HUGE drawback is the cages have NO large door. None. This makes it extremely hard to do anything inside the cage, including get your birds out. If they are not tame and are all over the cage when you're trying to catch them, forget it. You *will tear your arm up trying to catch them. Even mounting the nest boxes was difficult without a large door. With such small doors and no large door you can do virtually nothing in the back of the cage because most arms won't comfortably reach that far.Initially I thought I was glad it came with bowls and I wouldn't need to buy more. But, I can't use them because the design would require the bird to stick their heads into a small opening and down into the cup. I will try to upload pics later. Next idea, I took the tops off the bowls but that doesn't work either because with the tops gone, it leaves a gap at the top large enough that birds may get out, or at least get their heads out. I know it may be difficult to understand exactly what I mean by this, but in a nutshell the bowls were useless.Overall, if it weren't for the weight I would have returned it and unfortunately I wouldn't buy it again. I still gave it 3 stars because it is nice looking for breeders, I loved the spring load doors, and it has a base with wheels. Beyond that, I was very disappointed in the practicality of the cage.

Easy to set up, nice secure cages. Good size for parakeets. I’ve paid double this for same size and quality cages. Would recommend.

Doesn't have a large door in the front not easy to put together or clean won't purchase again. You have to take things apart to move cages.

This cage wasn’t hard to to put together but nothing lined up. Things was bent and I had to bend it to put cage together. I had to modify things to cover gaps. I was very disappointed. I would return but there is a restocking fee. I was excited to receive my cage until I started to put it together. Ended up with a disappointment.

Great for breeding! Wish the front doors were a little larger, but can't have it all. Great price!

Wonderful product

There are SO many things I love about this cage! They really thought of everything when deciding what to include.-Each side is big enough for breeding pairs and their babies! I get so sad looking at "bird breeding cages" on Amazon because they are not big enough to remain "humane."-Three doors for breeding boxes, allowing you to decide where you want them-Hooded food and water bowls to minimize spilling-Slide out trays for cleaning-Easy slide in dividers for either two breeding cages or a large flight cage, with solid middle option so your birds can't see each other and prefer the other male-Spring loaded openings so your birds can't figure out how to open the door like the sliding ones-Wheels!! So much easier to clean when you can just move the whole thing!Another person complained that there was no large cage door, but I actually really like that feature! Its more difficult for the birds to fly out if there's only small openings. Getting them out takes a little more time, but I would rather spend more 2 extra minutes catching them in the cage than spending half an hour catching them outside of it!!The first negative thing about it is that it's SUPER difficult to put together. Once you get the hang of it you're fine, but man that first whole cage (and half of the second one) took hours! Clearly the designer and the product manager were not the same person. The designer wanted all these features, but then didn't care how is was put together. The product could have been optimized to make it easier for customers to put it together.The second negative thing was the fact that they got deformed in shipping! Not surprising when you look at the boxes it was delivered in! All of the corners were absolutely shredded, which caused some edges and corners to be bent. It soft enough metal that you could bend it back though, which is why I gave it 5 stars instead of 4. It is probably a 4.5, just because it's so perfect for breeding I can overlook how they arrived and the set up time.
