So far this has worked rather well
Didn't want a large one as intended to use instead of a mortar and pestle. Not used for that yet but needed 3 tablespoon fulls of icing sugar from granulated. It did that rather well. Needed to lift the lid and stir a couple of times as this could clump at the bottom. I think it will be fine with spices and the reduced quantity attachment should help a lot for that use.First one I bought went back as the bowl couldn't be removed. Jammed solid. This 2nd on is fine and it comes out easily.

Brilliant spice grinder
My husband makes loads of curries, so grinds his own spices. He put some roasted spices in his original grinder and think they were too hot as it split the plastic casing. Hope this one gets a better chance !

Great grinder but some build issues
I’ve tried several grinders for spices and this one comes closest to what I want for usability, size and performance.Nice feature is the cap insert (see photo) which can be used for a finer grind. My advice when using this would be to use it only after doing a coarse grind without it first. The bowl also locks in place and can be unlocked and removed for using the ground spices or for cleaning.Build issues however are the safety tab (see photo) on the top feels really flimsy and could easily be broken ( mine never actually has though). More serious is the plastic fixing that holds the blades in place, this is not suitably robust and in my grinder has started to disintegrate (spice and plastics grind anyone) see the photo. Only a matter of time before the blades come loose. That said, I will probably buy this again when it does disintegrate.

Burnt out after 6 months and about 20 uses, only for coffee. Absolute rubbish.
I bought this specifically to grind coffee, which is a light job for a grinder. I've used it about 20 times over the past 6 months - once or twice every 2 weeks or so. On first use I smelt an electric smell and just assumed because it was new. It sort of went away, but now this morning it's just stopped working with electric smoke coming out of it. It's worked out to £1 per grind basically. What a piece of crap.

Excellent small quantity spice and herbs grinder.
Absolutely love this grinder and reducer for spices and herbs, nuts and seeds only takes seconds to blend and chop.It can do very small quantity with reducer or a large enough quantity for batch cooking for our family.I mix and roughly chop peppercorns for milling with dried garlic and it never taints the bowl cleans great in dishwasher.

Failed to live up to the advertising hype.
Without a doubt the best thing about this product is the description and advertising hype. Unfortunately, it failed to live up to this. It's fiddly and not brilliantly successful. I liked the cable tidy though.Warning - if you return it as I did, they will charge you return postage. Not sure of the legality of this for online purchases.
